I thought of buying the QVC presenters calendar as a joke gift for my sister but didn't want to help encourage their egos, or make them bring out another...didn't buy one in the end but I got a signed photo of Charlie as a joke for my Mum (who swears she never watches it).

I've always thought QVC should send out free samples of perfumes, beauty products etc as most department stores have samples that they give away...why not them? I'd never buy a perfume online without knowing how it smells on my skin.

I always find if I close the window, come out of the QVC website and open a new one when I go back in it clears the message...weird, I know. Often happens after something has 'timed out' that I haven't checked-out. Seems to work, though :thinking:

It's occurrs to me that QVC drive the need to 'add to your collection' and 'this would be a good introduction to the brand' type of sales patter. It is their bread and butter to get the public to feel they have to keep adding to their possesions, but how many of anything do we really need...

My girls and I went to see this last night and I thought it was well worth the awards it has already won. The acting was superb and the story very moving...it brought a tear or two to my eye. If you get the chance I recommend seeing it in the cinema, I don't know if it would be so moving on...
