My returns

I did see someone actually using it the other day, I think it was the LnL woman who always has loose strands of hair in front of her fsce.

She said something like "People do like to know the sizes of things". OF COURSE THEY DO and it should all be on the website in the first place.
Remember 'the ruler of truth' on Gemporia? Former presenter Scot Worsfold measured nearly all necklaces, earrings and bracelets he sold, and told the viewer at the beginning and reminded them during the presentation, and other former presenters (like Liv Edmonds) did the same. The other week they flogged a bracelet - no mention at all in the on-screen details as to the length of the bracelet, no mention by the presenter. And it wasn't an elasticated bracelet, so quite an important omission.

Well it’s been a good month since I ordered anything from QVC I still have a £10.00 voucher outstanding. I will use that around Christmas time on L’Occitane TSV I think.

I was half expecting a letter, another phone call maybe, but nothing!

I am just at that point with QVC that nothing much appeals anymore! The quality is questionable, the value is not there and hasn’t been for a long time; and the choice is meh!

Just sent my Tefal steamer back today - - but another mixup.

I had requested a return label about 10 days ago, and was promised a Royal Mail one.

Yesterday, Evri came to collect it, and I hadn't even recived the label, let alone an Evri one.!!!

Rang CS, and was told I should not have been promised an RM label as it was over 1KG. But they said I could take it to my local PO even with an Evri label. I did not know this.

Today the Evri label arrived, stuck it on and took it to the PO, no problems, and I got a posting receipt.

So now the wait begins.

I sent back a Clogau bracelet cause it was the one that they showed in the show. Evri picked up over 2 weeks ago so I rang QVC last week as the money hadnt been refunded. She said that the jewellery department are very busy so there will be a delay. Got an an email today to say they have refunded the money. Looks like they refunded my outward postage

What didn't you like about the steamer?

I spent about 15 minutes steaming a shirt, used 3 refills of water, and the creases were almost as bad as before I started.

It would have been quicker to iron it - - and it still needed ironing.
I thought you meant a food steamer! I threw my (clothes) steamer away. It was not a cheap one - Philips - it was useless

I bought a clothes steamer from Army & Navy Stores in the early 1970s. It was a strange red thing, looked a bit like ann iron. I think you had to put salt or something in it. It did work quite well especially for curtains.

I bought the same Tefal clothes steamer as Strato and thankfully mine’s a keeper. It got all the creases out of my “non easy care” clothes, although I did have to refill the water chamber twice. However that didn’t bother me because it heats up again so quickly. The majority of my clothes are easy care so don’t need ironing but the items that I steamed weren’t and had creases from being packaged. I guess I might have had a different point of view if I’d been trying to get creases out of a man’s shirt, but I wasn’t.

My shirt, which I think was cotton, had been machine washed so was very creased. I think the Tefal would get new creases out of something that had been ironed then crumpled, in fact, I think that was what they did for the QVC demo.

Men's shirts are a nightmare. I refuse to iron them as Mr CC's shirts are like trying to iron a piece of cardboard. Yes, good quality (Christensen and Tyrwitts and Charles someone) but bloody hell - who wants to spend 2 days ironing a shirt???

These days I don't go anywhere and wear a uniform to work so I don't bother ironing anything, or steaming.

Just returning yet another item, this - - -

The gadget worked well, but the suction base would not stick, even on glass.

It was not surprising looking at the suction cup. Most of it was very smooth, almost polished, but some parts of it had clearly visible imperfections such as lines and blisters. Quakity control = 0 out of 10.

I also returned either that gadget or one very similar a few years ago. Cleaning it was a faff and I couldn't get it to stick, either. I use a hand grater for small amounts or a Vitamix-type food processor I bought from IW many moons ago for large amounts, not that I need to do that much.

I haven bought anything for a long time. I like the L'Occitane mens range atm so will treat myself to a set fro Christmas.

I bought that as well and the suction was fine on mine. However, I only used it once and, after a couple of months, I decided it wasn’t going to be used so gave it away.

Looks like you are still keeping the Warehouse busy Strato 😀 Have you ever had the LETTER ?

I've got 3 items to send back, can I parcel them together or do I have to them separately, anybody know?
They say you have to send them back separately but I did once send 3 items that I'd ordered together wrapped separately with individual labels on them but then wrapped up together in one parcel and I got my normal refund but saved a fortune on postage. It was one of the skin care ranges I'd decided to try but hated.

Thanks for that, I might try it, it's annoying when combined they are under the Evri weight limit.

I had a replacement sent by QVC as my original order went missing via Evri. Sod’s Law the next day the original order was delivered. Rang QVC up on the Monday they told me that they’d send me a label and Evri would collect the following Tuesday (8 days time).

Was informed that Evri would contact me on the Tuesday to let me know what time they’d collect. Label turned up n the Monday. They didn’t just turned up about 3pm and gave me a card to say it’d been collected. Shame it was over 2kgs as too heavy for Royal Mail, who’d bring label with them and I could chose date for collection.
