I rememeber in the '80s, Dixons carried their own brand of 'Matsui' electrical appliances. They gave it an Eastern sounding name to make it more credible in the tech market place alongside established Japanese companies.

Intresting point, however 'The Gallery' and 'On Air Assistants' have enough trouble getting the right details/graphics of sizes, colours, availability etc., correct on screen, of featured product, without extra related sale merchandise info to complicate the already confused viewer.

Some of the sales assistants on telly selly are not sharpest of tools. Most need the feed of a voice in the earpeice to remind them of what they are paid to do. Anyway, covert comments and references to 'my producer' probably makes them feel like they are actually real tv presenters.
