There’s a Facebook page called ShoppingTelly.com

I’m not on Facebook.

I put ShoppingTelly.com into the search engine and couldn’t find it. I did find other shopping channels on Facebook though which were either out of date or featured presenters that aren’t on QVC.

No problem though as I’ve got strato’s email address.

Have created a fallback email for this forum on Gmail for members to stay in contact if the forum goes down again:

May consider sharing the account password so everyone can access and use it to swap messages and see others email addresses but that might be a privacy issue.
What I might be able to do is create a bcc distribution list autoreply rule and use it as an auto-mailer distribution list to email addresses if people let me know an email they want to be on the list?
What do you think? Any suggestions?

Long ago when the forum went down for more than 24 hours a forum was created on another platform. I can't remember what it was now, but everyone had to use their real name to join it. People came on and said oh I am by the way.

I'm sorry we did not get a notice out to everyone yesterday during the outage. I have made a note to post there if we cannot get on the forum, so others can check there for updates.

The server did crash and it took longer than usual to get it back, but it is up and stable. We very seldom have any server outages.

Could someone set up an empty email address on Hotmail or something and if anything did happen to the site we could all send a message to that address and get back in touch/find out what's going on? Would that work?

I'll monitor it if there's a problem in future if people drop an alias/secondary email there if you're happy to be contacted. Probably best not to use any identifying or primary email.

I miraculously remembered my password (my home PC remembers it).

I've now replied to 3 more emails, not sure which ones as different names to the forum names.

So that's 7 in total..

You can EITHER make a note of my email address and keep it somewhere safe, in case the forum goes down again. ALTERNATIVELY you can continue to email me (if not already done so) then if the forum goes down I will eontact you myself.

I returned from holiday just a few days ago and decided to go online to pay bills, check banking and emails etc but my laptop had died a death. A local tech place looked at it and told me just how poorly it was and how much it would cost to repair and seeing as I`d had the laptop for a number of years I decided to buy a new one instead.
I was setting it up (which is a total pain for a non tech person like me ) and was using a different search engine than my last pc. I searched for my favourite sites and they all loaded except ST. I tried and tried but it still wouldn`t load and I`ll have you know I was so gutted and so mad that my new search engine wouldn`t let me access ST that I nearly returned the laptop to the company I bought from and to swap it for one which would load ST. Am I thick or what ...... don`t answer that. I`m a pen and paper girl at heart !

As a backup I created: [email protected]

i.e. <this website's address>@gmail.com

So if you forget [email protected] or need an alternative you can remember/use that also and I'll try to do similar.
