See ! I knew she'd come out at night at some point. (WHY do older women start putting black crayon on their lower lids ? it never looks good and makes them look like men in drag - perhaps Alison Young can offer an explanation for this phenomenon)
 
The desperation of Beckham for a knighthood knows no bounds. He no doubts feels he needs to insert himself into the news coverage given that it's over-shadowing his usual column inches with stories about nothing.

To one who's been noticable by her absence is Joanna Lumley. She wrote a book about The Queen just ahead of the platinum jubilee - I predicted she had a Damehood in the bag when she was promoting it. She tweeted something but I don't think she's been interview on any of the news channels.

Susanna was with her mum hence queuing, she could have got in with press pass but her mum wouldn't have. Holly and Phil were there in work capacity, filming some things for next week so were entitled to press pass access.

Exactly he queued like everyone else. Many with his status would have tried to get special treatment but he didn't.

She used to sell makeup on QVC. I liked some of her tips - well, one of her tips, actually, which was applying your rouge very high on your cheekbones. I wouldn't want any makeup tips from her now, judging from this photo. Good luck to her, however, for still going strong.

Don’t understand the anti-David Beckham stance from many in this forum. He played 115 times for his country, captaining them in 58 of them, has been an ambassador for UNICEF for 20 years and played a major part in winning the very successful 2012 London Olympics. Maybe if he played cricket he would be a Lord by now.

When interviewed he stated he felt this is meant to be a shared experience. He's right. There is no way it would have been as special without connecting with others in the queue.

So it was alright for him to call the Honours Committee "a load of c......ts" then - YES, he really said that, for not giving him a Knighthood. He might have played a lot for England, but certainly wasn't a 'great' footballer - ask any professional, and I know a few, and they have a different story to tell. He was taken under the wing of Simon Fuller - the Manager of the Spice Girls at the time, - and with Victoria the 'brand' was born. Very successful financially, and its only recently the pair have parted company. I know many 'swoon' over his looks, but he doesn't often open his mouth on air, there's a reason, its very high pitched and squeaky. Let's face it, if there's a photo op for Beckham to his advantage - his publicity team will make sure he's there, like he had to get in on the act with Captain Tom.

Probably trying to make up for his 30 pieces of silver (£150 million) from Qatar to be the face of 2022 World Cup. so getting anymore flack from the public would really endanger the public 'brand'.
 
Have any of the Saint Beckham apologists asked themselves why there aren't minute-by-minute pictures of him "queuing" to pay his respect to The Queen, and why the first time we knew about it was when he was pictured looking remarkably fresh and groomed inside the hall?
 
My sister was saying that the Queens body couldn't possibly be in the coffin as it would be starting to break down. The body is more than likely kept in a safe, cool place to stop it "going off" ...so are people paying respects to an empty coffin??
 
Let us not forget, in the give us a knighthood, Gary Barlow. Who brown nosed for years non-stop but then, oh dear, was caught shipping his taxes overseas to avoid paying what he should. Of course, he blamed his accountant, who told him it was totally legal. Just like Eamon and his tax bill. The others from Take That also did it, apart from strangely Robbie Williams, who had paid UK taxes. Of course, he and his family have homes in different countries and tend to move around from England to the US etc. Whereas Gary lived full time in the UK.

Boffy, they no doubt partially embalmed her before moving her body to St. Giles.
 
I’m actually not a big fan of Beckham or his wife, but I really have a bee in my bonnet about Holly and Philip they are not journalists or members of the press and rest assured Schofield will try and make this all about himself just like he did in COVID lock down.

So, is the England world cup team refusing to play this world cup? No, of course they will. So their hands are just as dirty.

As for Captain Tom, well, his family have been suspended from the charity for paying themselves BIG money from it. I got the idea when he was alive, his daughter was wanting to be in on all TV interviews pushing the agenda and straight in when he died. Seems because of her and husband, it has dirtied the waters.

The body will have been embalmed and the coffin is lead-lined, which preserves the body for longer and prevents moisture getting in, and odours getting out. You can read about it here. Apparently her coffin has been ready for 30 years, which would explain why it's bigger than her physical stature at the time of her death.
