Lock & Lock TSV 12/4/16

I can't be bothered with that, I know what I pay for and its my choice to have it, so I budget around it...

Of course it's your choice, it was obviously mine too, but they knocked over £50 off for me (I have the whole package, broadband and phone with them) I did originally plan to cancel the first time I rang a few years back, but they said because I've been a Sky customer since they began they didn't want to lose me) anyway it brought my bill down from £120 a month to £67, the adviser told me to ring up each year when my discount is about to end and ask and I'll get roughly the same deal again for another twelve months, so for a saving of £600 a year, I can be bothered with one phone call.

I was just trying to show its always about new customers get the big lures. I know on the QVC page there have been a number of people saying they got an offer of 10 discount on their first order. In fact yesterday one posted on the Elemis thread on the page, about she could not use the discount and the easy pay so did not order.

Well back to Lock seems some regular customers phoned up and told they would get their p&p refunded. Then others are being told NO. So one rule from some and a different for others. This is getting even worse now. QVC are the Trump of home shopping saying one thing then back tracking :mysmilie_17:

Well they're not getting a Lock & Lock order from me now, no matter what! Offering some existing customers the discount was a mistake on their part, as it was bound to happen that some would be lucky and some would not. It's all rather back fired on them, I think. I hope the TSV bombs now.

What is happening to QVC, when they resort to tactics such as using a 'sprat to catch a mackerel' ....shame on them !!!

If the promo is only for new members they can keep their lock&lock......

I've shopped with QVC from day one and they have never offered me any kind of deal or free P&P or invitation to their "do's", nothing. If I know that others are getting better treatment it pee's me off.

Omg I just tuned it at midnight - forgot what the date was so had no idea what tsv it would be - and disceovered the Lock n Lock Show with Dale and Simon. It's like an American infomercial! It began with an OTT orchestral classical music introduction - the name of the piece has gone, but suffice to say it was a huge sense of anti-climax - followed by the pair of the snapping the boxes and hyperventilating about the things!

Dale stopped to say that 4000 had sold at 12:15... It's as if they're on over-drive, saying welcome to new customers and repeating how well publicised this has all been, etc, etc - "it's because we all really believe in this"...?! They're plastic tubs, not a new religion ;)

I'm interested just how much they've put in to this, and how the delivery is completely hyperbolic...! If I didn't know better, I'd think Dale was being sarky or ironic. Has put right off, though to be fair I like sistema anyway now!

Is it wrong that I found it all strangely fascinating watching it on the website........the music (it was Beethoven's 5th btw) with pics of fruit & veggie filled L&L whizzing past......?
(The whole thing reminded me of some of the ridiculous projects eldest had to do as a graphics student, sometimes they got bored & just thought of the silliest thing they thought they might get away with....! lol)

I'm enjoying this now - I needed a smile ;)

Simon held up the smallest tub and said "everyone has a favourite one"?! His is apparently the 180ml...

Then he starting waving round another (sarnie sized) one & said he kept his spanners in it.......how teeny are his spanners??? OH has a collection of spanners, half of which could take down a charging elephant!!!

Just turned over to have a quick look to hear the smarm master Dale pleading with new viewers to give QVC a try, because after all you can return them if you're not happy. He does however fail to state to these potential new customers that you have to pay for your own returns.

Can I just wonder why Jilly Jones - who usually presents Lock & Lock - wasn't the guest for this TSV?

Is she being eased out? Are there any brands she's still the guest for at QVC now?

Shame if so... I like Jilly Jones.

She's gone I'm afraid. I too liked her she gave excellent advice and recipes for easiyo rather than telling you where you could eat it.

I questioned them about the money off vouchers people used to recieve ...10 quid off etc ..I put them to task and said this is not fair ...as I had bought a fair few items over the years ...I kept on ...not rudely ( although a couple of people were sticking to their training and interrupted me and I politely asked them not to do that ...) anyway I got the 10 quid off ..just felt a bit peeved that I had never received anything like that ...bought a cooks essential pan and I love it after at least 4 years :mysmilie_59:

Just been reading the Q page.

A loyal customer asked if her cat could order a set, as he likes boxes (with pic of cat in a box) and would the cat get free PP. Q's answer - - - NO!

Also, many are pointing out that on the TV there is no mention of the free PP for new customers. As it is from the TV that they are likely to get new customers, how are these new customers supposed to find out?

It seems Q are trying to hide the free PP offer from everyone as it has caused so many complaints.

I posted on twitter about this and this is the response from QVC, sent very quickly I may add.

" just to let you know that this is an introductory offer for customers that are new to QVC, our existing customers are highly valuable to us and we hope they will continue to look out for other great offers. Hope this helps. Joe"

I sent an email to Q yesterday asking if the rumours were true about free p&p for new customers, I added that I was not after free p&p as if the rumours were true... I would not buy the tsv on principle.... No reply as yet..

Does lock and lock stain with curry/beans etc?

I love my pyrex dishes for bulk cooking/freezing storge etc but son has nicked loads for uni and the lids go after a while so may try the lock and lock, what do you think?
