IE will not play youtube clip or open farmvulle

It happened to both my computers when an update was done. I've tried everything I know to fix it but nothing has worked. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what did you do to fix it?

Simple answer, use anything at all except IE.
Chrome, firefox, opera, anything!

YouTube and FarmVille use flash so you could try uninstalling that and then re download it Mrs W x

lol You could be right. I've gave up now as I've tried everything I know how to do. Some sites are saying it's to do with 32bit or 64 bit but I have no idea what they are on about. Firefox it is!
