I liked the look of them but saw that the size 20 had a bust size of 42".
OMG! I AM a size 20 but my bust size is (quite) a bit larger than that :doh::blush:

i am very confused about a lot of qvc sizing or should i say the information (or lack of) that qvc give.
for a start i dont know if the measurements are of the of the garments or what we should be. the lengths sometimes dont actually tally with the garments ( like the maxi dress last week that was only 42" but in reality 52") and now i see 2 hip widths in ronni nicole, hip width and slimmer hip, but only the one option to buy.

on this next dress i would need to go up at least 2 sizes to get the right chest fit because it is about 7 or 8 cm smaller than most of the other dresses

then you have all of the stuff that doesnt have any information at all, ever lol

i bought a ronni nicole dress last year as a 'to fit into' dress and never wore it. i wasnt overly impressed tbh but some of them do look lovely

I imagine the 2 hip sizes on ronni nicole were one for the o so slim lining and one for the dress if that helps.

i agree - i assume the sizes reeled off are the size of the garment not us? whatever happened to the qvc ruler? or more accurately tape measure? they used to actually measure the clothing on air.

They were the days .... when the presenter sat behind a table and measured everything before our eyes, the days before the hard sell.

The late lamented Steve Whatley was one of the best for measuring everything.
I can't stand Charlie when he does the fashion hours & yet I used to look forward to Watters,even his Diamonique hours were mental & every tiny stone was measured with the ruler lol :sun:

It would be useful if they told us what the garment measured and the amount of give in the fabric and therefore how many inches or cm extra we needed to get a good fit.

For example if it's lycra-ed up to the eyeballs and will stretch an extra six inches then you can go for a size down if you like a close fit or if it's cotton (not likely I know!) and has no give then you should allow anything from three or five inches for a comfortable fit. Just giving the actual measurement isn't enough.

And that rule on the cotton fabric or anything fabric without stretch is a really good one to remember. If it's a fitted dress then go for something close to but not exactly your bust size but if it's a top then go up and if it has sleeves in it go up more or you won't be able to move your arms.

The rule is only valid though if the measurements given are accurate in the first place!!
