Yes, It was Caroline Hirons she has a book out and various newspapers had pieces from it.

She is not the only one against Micellar Water, as my granny used to say only gives a lick and a promise. In other words very minimum and promise to clean properly later.

I never liked them anyway and never bought it.

Micellar water is not good to be left on face, so just use as a first cleanse, I have one of Caroline Hirons mugs it says Fannies,Flights and Festivals as their the only places you should be using wipes.😂
I didn’t know that thanks. I use the Decleor one second and don’t think I’ve had adverse effects but maybe I’d look 10 years younger if I switched 🤣😂 . I find the Elemis one stings so, if I buy this TSV, will offload it to a friend or my mother (she loves anything Elemis!)

Er, what, what? Wipes on fannys? Have I had too much wine or am I reading this right :ROFLMAO: Depends where you are, I use micellar wipes (hate that word) when travelling light, at the caravan or on the go. I hasten to add I use them on my face, not the old hoot 'n' annie. So tempted by this TSV despite my no spend rule. That matrix is gold dust for the face. It works.

Yes, Caroline Hirons wrote a piece in a weekend supplement and had no time for Micellar water, except when water was scarce to wash with, I thought good on her for calling out the Emperors New Clothes! so many of these companies jump on to the latest 'fad', I mean, who the hell had even heard of the stuff until a couple of years ago ? and how many knew what it was for ? - and with a made up name too. Still, it gives the big names a product to 'pad' out their collections and tsvs with, - although they might just as well have stuck a bottle of Evian in instead - it would be more useful.

My daughter sent me a new book yesterday it’s called ‘Skin Care by Caroline Hirons’
She’d had it a bit as she’d ordered two one for herself and one for me but wrongly added both to be posted to herself.
Since she’d bought some new bones as a treat for our Labrador I got sent my book too.
Only started reading a little last night but a quick flick through there seems a lot in it.

I do belong to her Facebook group and to be honest, do not follow everything thing she advises I cannot use the AHAs, lactic acids etc. When I mentioned this some members asked what brands I had tried? I just said sorry I am not going to buy every brand go through breakouts and rosacea flaring to wait weeks for my face to settle to perhaps on the off chance finding one that works.

Actually met Caroline at a SpaceNK event the other year, very friendly and funny. I was asked by the staff if I wanted to come they mentioned free champagne and I was in. :p Towards the end of the event when everyone else had their recommendations I decided perhaps since it was her event I should actually go up. I explained a few things and was told my skin was good and just continue doing what I was.

Have to say I bought her book, i don't normally bother with skincare or beauty books but enjoyed the articles in the DM so decided to get it, glad I did as there are lots of interesting tips and info in there, and its easy and enjoyable to read. She seems to be a big fan of facial oils, and critical of wipes, and the latest fads etc

The micellar I use to remove make up before my proper cleanse is the Simple one, always on offer somewhere for a couple of pounds.
I use their eye make up remover as well, I know the micellar would do the job, but prefer a separate product that does not contain oil.

I would never use micellar on it's own, but it does a good job of getting make up out of the way first.

It is the 30g.
