Debbie Flint returning?

I'm pleased to see her back, I remember her leaving doing a Molton Brown show and the woman who used to do that saying she couldn't believe we wouldn't be seeing her anymore (I can't believe that was over 9 years ago).

I was sad to see her go then; it will be interesting to see how she fits in once back into the swing of it. I made a point of tuning in even though pearls aren't usually for me. Ralph is a bit creepy, not keen on him.

I wonder what happened to her Grandmothers wedding ring; she never used to take it off what ever she was presenting. I remember one guest not being that happy and saying he would give it a polish for her!

This is the first time I've ever seen her. She's not very stylish is she? Another top heavy lady wearing unflattering shortsleeve tops. Sound like she's just come from the Eastenders set too. Not too impressed overall.

Bless her, she hasn't worn very well. I don't think any of the lady presenters have got anything to worry about , they shouldn't feel threatened in any way.:54:

Thank you, PPC. I have never seen Debbie before. I thought I had IW world on for a few seconds. Ralph is quite uptight and she has already scared off a t-caller.
Yes I get the impression that Ralph isn't very comfortable with her either. :pPC:

Debbie is now listed in the presenter blogs so if anyone wants to leave her a welcome back message they can. Great to see her back at QVC as she's one of my favourite presenters.

:wave2::hi: Well I'm very pleazsed to see Debbie back , I think it's great to see a 'normal' looking person who doesn't try to be something they are not. I've never watched honora pearls before therefore haven't seen Ralph and didn't notice that he seemed intimidated.
Welcome back Debs and hope you are here to stay x

I've only managed to read the first 6 pages of this thread so forgive if the information i'm asking for has already been posted.

I have been watcing QVC for about 10 years and i'm afraid I don't know Debbie from Adam??? when did she leave and why? I just caught a glimpse of her on a Honora Pearls hour, she has lovely red hair which is nice to see but I didn't watch enough to get a sense of her patter.

I can't see why Ralph would be uncomfortable. She enthused over his product, cooed in all the right places, showed it off nicely. Maybe it was just her unfamiliarity as he's not used to working with her.

Now that name is a blast from the past - Debbie Flint! She used to do the childrens hour on SSVC (tv channel for Armed Forces), she also went on to do UK tv channel, and she was on, Under the Broom Cupboard! so it is nice to see her return to the screens, she has a lovely presenting voice, and years of experience.

According to her blog on QVC she left 9 years and 8 moths ago so maybe she left just before you started watching QVC.

I like her voice too. I'm not sure if the remark up there somewhere ^ about the set of East Enders was a dig at her accent, but I don't have a problem with regional accents.I was born in Manchester and still have a slight Lancashire accent. The only reason it's not very pronounced , is because I've lived in several places since. Three of my daughters have Geordie accents because they were very young when we moved to the North East and the eldest two have a bit of Bristol because they were born there. I think I'm probably a bit of a mongrel....

Debbie left at the same time as Paul Lavers and Steve Whatley - they left to be the main presenters on the then brand new Ideal World...

Debbie was always one of my favourite presenters and she seems just the same as ever...

Someone queried earlier when someone said that when Debbie left Julia replaced her as their favourite presenter - i think they meant just that... not that Julia then came to QVC... As alot of other people have said Julia has been here since day one...

That was what I meant when I said down to earth and normal. She's a South London girl like me and although I haven't lived in London for almost 20yrs and now live in Manchester , I still speak with the same accent as our Debs.
As they say ... you can take the girl out of London but you can't take the London out of the girl!!:giggle:

I really like Debbie.

I couldn't care less that's she's filled out a bit since she left either. I'd rather watch her than that scrawny airhead Jill Franks. I must have been watching a different hour to some folks as I didn't notice any uncomfortable vibes between her and Ralph at all - like any of us starting in a "new" job she was probably very nervous.

And what's wrong with her accent? She sounds fine to me and doesn't prattle on using endless cliches and made up words either.

She always had a great sense of fun and good humour so hopefully we'll see more of that as she settles in.

Go Debbie :clapping:

I don't have a problem with regional accents - I have one myself! It's just that she sounded a bit too 'market stall' to be selling classic pearls. And also the way she looked. Sorry, but to me there was no attempt at any styling there. I'm sure she'd be just fine selling KVZ or Kim & Co!! And as somebody else said, more IW than QVC.

....or maybe she could wear pearls with her Kim&Co, as I do..............

She still has that common touch I see..... :innocent: :pPC:
That’s what makes Debbie so likeable, I like her down to earth bubbly persona. Hope Debbie really is back for good and not just a few months. My kinda girl!
