Andrew Bagley

Even if he is gay, which is perfectly fine, it's his business and if he doesn't want to put on a Leighton Denny style voice, that's fine too. I do wonder why so many gay men marry though. I can't see that people can suddenly find in middle age that they are gay! It's just one of the things I don't believe in, along with women who say they didn't know they were pregnant! Rubbish! Like they are having a bath one day and..... PING! a baby appears! Nah. Don't fink so!

I heard Andrew Bagley drives an expensive sports car! I'm sure he has expensive taste. I did actually sit opposite him on the Eurostar once and he was barking into his phone when the train came out of the tunnel. He seemed a very stressed, authoritarian man.

Was he trying to secure 1 million pots of the youth molecule for Qvc from head office Paris?

It was coming back. He shouted "What do I pay you for? That was all supposed to be sorted out! I'm NOT waiting 20 minutes. I have a TV appearance to prepare for and a briefing to attend!" He made a point of raising his voice and that is when I realised who it was. I was opposite as I was given a free upgrade to First Class. Maybe he was miffed that some chav like me in a baseball cap was given something that he had to pay heaps for?

Wow, that's some memory for details you've got there.

Wow, that's some memory for details you've got there.

The reasons it sticks so vividly in my memory are:

1) I don't travel on Eurostar very often, and certainly not in first class. I was lucky to get an upgrade, dressed in a Zegna leather jacket and wearing a black baseball cap!
2) He was making an idiot of himself, raising his voice like he actually wanted people to hear he was going on TV and was special.
3) He has a very distinctive voice and I remember hearing the voice and recognising it before I saw him. I sat there racking my brains for a couple of minutes and then I realised who he was!

Er ... according to the link, your Zegna leather jacket would set you back £1,181, so maybe not so scruffy after all. Maybe Mr Bagley was simply venting his jacket envy on some poor sod back in the office.

Edit: I wish I hadn't found out that price. It makes my eyes water. Let's hope OH doesn't read this thread in case he gets ideas for a nice birthday present. (No chance, luv. No chance.)

He does drive a very expensive custom rolls Royce if I remember correctly don't worry I'm no stalker it's just due to the industry I work and a company I used to work for lol .

Mr. Bagley was on air with Dale during a selection hour at 1.30am Thursday previous I think it was. Two blokes presenting beauty products = TV GOLD!

They presented the floracil together and despite Dales insistence that he never wears eye make up his saturated cotton pad was laden with orange smears when he removed it from his peepers. Cue Andrew ribbing him about wearing make-up which made a change from him getting ribbed by AY for the same reason.

They also presented the eye-roll-on trio and the sight of two blokes with eye-compresses on and under eye roller-balling together was very funny. Dale tried to switch the conversation to Rugby and Andrew playing on a professional field etc but it didn't work. Totally addictive viewing qvc should pair them up for a full Gatineau hour.

Hilarious post, HYPE in a JAR, especially the bit above.

Ta I must admit my imagination does get a bit carried away sometimes especially with regard to that dashing Mr. Bagley!

Now whenever that Gatineau focus pen is presented on QVC, my mind will be distracted as a result of your post Hype in a Jar. Thanks for making me smile after having a really c**ppy day at a hospital yesterday !

Hey sorry to hear about your bad day at hospital. Hope your doing ok now!

Dale said on air with Andrew the other day he had bigger eye bags than Kipling so he was going to road test the eye cream, is it working?

I think some people have a misconception about guys who work in skincare. No-one poses any questions about Bev Cressman, for example, when she comes on with a gardening product.
I agree, it's none of our business what he does in his private life, unless it is illegal, but I feel that way about anyone. There is another forum, digitalspy, and posters seem consumed by who is gay. So annoying. Small things and small minds!
Andrew Bagley & Gatineau have been with QVC since the beginning. Alison Young has frequently mentioned over the years that she invited Andrew to sell Gatineau on QVC and explained to him how customers could return products for a refund and Andrew said that was absolutely fine as his products worked. Andrew and Gatineau were the first brand to sell on QVC. So Q is 30 years old & Andrew was already running Gatineau back than, plus as well as that he has been in the beauty industry for some years with his own beauty salons. So based on that he must be around 60 now. Yes I knew he had a son and a daughter. He also used to play rugby semi professionally. I’ve learned all those things from Alison Young when she’s been on Gatineau shows with Andrew and they’ve know each other for 30 plus years. I think he comes across as a really nice guy.

If we don't know much, if anything, about Andrew and his fsmily from his appearances on QVC, I think that's fantastic! I am heartily sick of the oversharing of personal details by presenters and guests. If we went into a shop and we got a catalogue of personal details, would we be impressed? I doubt it. We don't know them, and frankly developing parasocial relationships with people on tv or social media can be dangerous.

We've spoken about this before on the forum, how shopping channel presenters pretend to be your friend, the channel and its staff are portrayed as a family, then vulnerable and/or lonely people can't get into their house for the mountains of unopened parcels they've bought to "treat" themselves.

I never used to buy Gatineau so never really watched Andrew but he seems all right. You never get the hard sell from him and I can't say I've ever heard him talk about his family. He's there to sell the products and that's what he does.

You can search on the forum with keywords, Andrew Bagley and all the threads over the years should come up.

On another forum I belong to, members really don't like it and admin come on and close down anything older than I think 3 years? And people doing it told to start their own new thread. But another perfume forum I belong to have no problem with it.

Started reading this thread and realised it’s just been resurrected from 2014 (11 years ago!)

Same thing with thread about Julian Ballantyne.

Wonder who’s finding them and where?!
I would imagine people google the presenter or guest name and then they click on the results. I did that when I wasn't familiar with the site but wanted to know why the sudden and unexplained absence of Julian and Debbie Greenwood.
Some sites lock threads after a certain number of posts. The threads are still readable but no additions or likes etc are possible. I'd have thought it would be more work for mods... but possibly it also allows them to track the popular topics more easily.
Julius with his trolling ways, I remember.

Snap! I was wondering who all these forum members were as I didn't recognise their names! And then I was thinking surely Andrew is older than 46 🤣
