This has been mentioned briefly in another thread but it’s so sad. Alison posted updates on her Instagram, spotted and posted on a QVC UK FB group a couple of months ago. Her cancer has returned and has spread, causing spinal compression which has made her paralysed from her bust downward. She has to be hoisted out of bed.

I can’t add the posts here for some reason. No recent posts and I think these 3 have been removed now.

Poor woman,

How terrible! I liked Alison's calm and articulate presentation style on QVC.

Cancer is a cruel, cruel disease.
Breast cancer comes in many forms.

Unfortunately some are very aggressive, rarer, and hard to treat.

I wish her well, and I hope she has as good a quality of life as possible in the circumstances.

Alison has myeloma a form of blood cancer affecting the bone marrow. I think it was discussed here at the time. She had chemo and a stem cell transplant. I remember because I had a stem cell transplant for Lymphoma.
Myeloma like lymphoma is not curable. You hope for a long remission.
I was wondering a few days ago why I hadn’t seen her for a while.

Isn't Julia Roberts' also a form of myeloid cancer?

So many cancers, so few with the resources for research into cures.

And some cancers we might hear about are actually pretty rare.
Even cervical, which has about 3.3k cases a year, means many GPs will only see one or two cases a year: not enough to build up a lot of expertise in diagnosis or putting patients on the best path for treatment.

"Happy Sunday❤️
I am just sitting with my lovely Ali , the Diamonique guest so many of you have in your thoughts .
Here is a quick message from her;

Thanks to all of you who have taken time to have me in your thoughts and sent lovely messages of support. As many of you know, my cancer relapsed in autumn last year and I was in hospital from Nov-Jan receiving care for that plus the almost total paralysis caused by a tumour in my spine. I’ve been at home receiving end of life care since mid Jan but am totally smashing all expectations and currently feel quite well! There’s not really much else to add other than I am truly humbled to have such support from you lovely viewers. As you can imagine, it’s been a traumatic time for Ian and I, and while we had planned to update you more often, it’s not always been easy. I know many will reply and send messages which I do endeavour to read and appreciate, but I hope you understand it’s not possible to always respond. With love and gratitude, Alison xx"

Thank you Sazza.
How tragic. She's so young to be facing death. Long may she disrupt expectations and I hope she can have some fun and joy.
