Have you read the reviews for the last Butler and Wilson TSV??scathing!!

A lot of the jewellery packaging needs a complete rethink - not just B&W. I think the plastic bags aren't so much extra protection, as much as to make up for the fact that items like earrings often don't fit the boxes if placed in those slots at the top of the velvet liner - they're either too...

    Desert Island Beauty Products

1/ Chanel Cleansing Oil 2/ Elemis Maximum Moisture Day Cream 3/ Molton Brown Wonderlips Boooster. 4/ Aveda Dry Remedy shampoo. (Ok, mine is a bit of a cheat as the first one isn't available from QVC, and the third used to be, but isn't now - but these are my genuine multi-repeat holy grail...

What were your best qvc or any shopping channel buys?

My Bose CD radio thingy, which I love. Elemis Maximum Moisture Cream.

    Prescriptives TSV??

Excellent - this is one of my fav QVC cosmetic brands!

What was your worst ever purchase?

I couldn't move my planter when it got to about half full of compost, so I went out and bought those smaller terracotta strawberry pots at great expense. Plus the compost had to be some fancy mix of regular compost and special gritty stuff - also at great expense. I then spent ****** ages...

What was your worst ever purchase?

PS And a load of dead strawberry plants with a hideous orange plastic planter about the size of a 737.

What was your worst ever purchase?

An umbrella seemingly made of lead. Genie line whatsit - utterly useless crap.

    Eve Lom, worth the money?

I'm not sure exactly which ingredient(s) is/are the culprit, but it's anything with that really medicinal smell. I have the same thing with Liz Earle cleanser, which I think has a beautiful texture plus I like the idea of the muslin (mildly exfoliating), but which also gives me terrible spots. I...

    Eve Lom, worth the money?

The point you're not getting is that mineral oil is not a pointless filler ingredient. In a cleanser it emulsifies dirt without the need for detergent - hence why it's quite good for sensitive or dry skins which get stripped easily, and also for oily skins, which can chuck out even more oil in...

    Eve Lom, worth the money?

I find mineral oil much less reactive than many plant oils and extracts. For most people, it is a very benign product. As for sitting on the surface of the skin - that's exactly what you want a cleanser to do! - you don't want it taking dirt and make-up down into the deeper layers - you want it...

    QVC vs NASA

Absolutely - they've already sold us all the Tanzanite in Africa (or does it just feel like it?) exhausted the South China Seas, and stripped Concorde bare, so space MUST be the final frontier........

Ojon TSV, is it really such good value?

I think the smell is quite nice - sort of nutty-chocolately. The products are very hydrating, as described - but am I really alone in thinking this is a phenominally expensive range, when you compare the prices (and sizes) to other quality hair care brands like Aveda and Kerastase?

    Enough is Enough

Can't believe no-one has mentioned Fenjal!

    Enough is Enough

Chanel bought out a load of new scents called 'Les Exclusifs' which are only available as EDT and pure perfume - no body products. Not sure if they are 'old' scents ressurected, or brand new ones? 'Coromandel' is my favourite - very woody, with pine, patchouli, frankincense, amber and vanilla...

    Enough is Enough

I downgraded from Elemis Milk Bath (£35 a bottle - gulp!) to Molton Brown Yuan Zhi (£16ish), then to Champneys version of the milk bath (circa a tenner), and finally to 'Dove Cream Bath - about £2.50. The Dove Bath is as moisturising as the Elemis stuff (in fact, probably more moisturising)...

Did Guy CLutterbuck just tell Daniel off?

I think the jewellery shows over the last couple of weeks have been a shambles. There have been misspellings of gemstones, mispronounciation of jewellery styles, and uncertainty or disagreement about what shades particular gem stones come in. Several presenters keep getting the various eras...

Gold jewellery and the Italian ‘spin’

You make a very good point about the gold content of pieces here vs overseas - I am pretty sure Italy are not the only country that don't consider 9k gold to be 'gold'. It is a bit strange to call something that's nearly two thirds not gold, 'gold' . (I do own some, and I understand it's all...

    D Green - Annoying

    I still think Craig's worse.

    YBF Logo.... surely a coincidence??

There was a thread about this when the brand first launched. Could you really do this subconciously, and what are the chances that no-one involved with the packaging and marketing side of things would pick up on it at any stage during development, which must last months to years? Sorry, but...

Did anyone see CHuntley chastise someone for leaving negative feedback last night.

I think if someone writes a factually incorrect review, QVC have every right to remove it. But if they are simply stating a negative opinion (rather than saying something dishonest or misleading) and it is allowed to stand on the website, then the presenters shouldn't say anything at all...
