Did anyone see CHuntley chastise someone for leaving negative feedback last night.

CHuntley was demonstrating a Lola Rose necklace last night, and practically chastised someone for leaving negative feedback on QVCUK, about the fastener being too tight to fasten. What made it worse was CHuntley decided to demonstrate how supposedly easy it was to do up the fastening, and could not fasten it herself. Cue camera cutaway, and a new item being displayed.

That woman takes herself way too seriously. You're on QVC not Sky News!

I saw that Jasper. She was faffing about with the knott trying so hard to loosen it. I thought it was funny but I also felt a bit sorry for her. I guess these things are bound to happen on live tv.

I thought it served her right, for trying to be Miss Smarty Pants.:32:

I saw a similar thing on (I think) one of the beauty shows, where the presenter was basically saying don't take any notice of negative feedback. It came across really badly.

I think what they meant to say, was that you should read the FB to see if it applies to you e.g if someone has rated a moisturiser as being very heavy or greasy, it might be perfect for you if you have very dry skin.

But they made a real pigs ear of it, and it ended up sounding very dismissive of any negative comments.

Not sure whether it was Catherine, though.

I think demonstrators do themselves no favours. They are simply drawing the customers' attention to negative feedback, whilst oftimes making themselves look silly in the process. They'd do far better to just let it pass.<a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D4%252F4%255F13%255F18%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_18.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D4%252F4_13_18%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

Thats what I was thinking they i.e. CHuntley, should just consider it as positive criticism. By doing what she did last night, CHuntley just proved how right the person was to leave negative feedback.

They seem to be very touchy about Lola Rose at the moment. I watched Pippa presenting a show in the last week and they seemed to be addressing all the negative feedback i have read in relation to all the products. Nikki must have been stamping her feet and making fists behind the scenes!!

I have never brought any Lola Rose, and don't know a lot about the range. But I can understand the fasteners being tight to ensure they stay in place.

I think you actually need to see the clip again Jasper!

I didn't remember her making any catty remarks so just checked the player on their web site.
(Item 336360 if you are interested)

She sounded more like she was trying to explain why the viewer had trouble using that type of clasp! I do think you are being very unfair to Catherine! She may be a lot of things, but spiteful or catty she isn't!

I stand corrected, it was more the way she came across.

It takes a big person to admit they are wrong, so kudos to you for that Jasper.

Personally I don't think she came across as catty, patronizing or anything remotely along those lines. I am sure that Catherine would be genuinely upset if she thought she had come over as chastising that person for the feed back.

Catherine may not be everyones' cup of tea as a presenter, but one thing you can never, with any justification accuse her of, is being nasty to/or about anyone, or anything.

P.S. Just noticed you have removed some of the remarks from one of your posts. Thank you Jasper.

I still think she was patronising, just not catty. Either way she still failed to prove her point. A spice girl wannabe shouldn't try to make herself out to be a Carol Vorderman type of woman.:23:

I think if someone writes a factually incorrect review, QVC have every right to remove it.

But if they are simply stating a negative opinion (rather than saying something dishonest or misleading) and it is allowed to stand on the website, then the presenters shouldn't say anything at all, however much they may disagree. It looks really churlish to try to argue against negative reviews, however well intentioned, and makes a mockery of 'we value your input' type comments ....

All CHuntley achieved by addressing that review live on air, was highlight the problem to countless other people like myself. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZSfox000%2526i%253D10%252F10%255F5%255F134v%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_5_134v.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D10%252F10_5_134v%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

I didnt see the incident in question so cant comment on that but QVC give us the facility to post negative feedback and provided this is factually correct, there is nothing they can do about it other than ignore it or try to address it and sometimes this seems like making excuses.
