Ali Keenan's latest blog (added to the QVC website this afternoon) is dedicated to Amica. Thought it was well written and very touching. She gets the tone "just right" in what must have been a difficult blog for her to prepare.

From your post I wasn't sure if you were looking to compare a GTech sweeper or the new GTech AirRam (vacuum cleaner) with the Dyson cordless. I have a Gtech sweeper which I found worked well on wooden floors and tiles but wasn't great on carpets. I bought an AirRam at the beginning of the year...

Hope this helps... Have been using an AirRam for a couple of months. It gets up to the edges really well...cupboards, skirting boards etc. The machine is so light that it makes it easy to manoeuvre and it picks up brilliantly. It doesn't lose suction as the dust compartment gets filled up...

I bought my AirRam from John Lewis. The sales assistant told me that they sell 10x more of the AirRam than the Dyson cordless. It is definitely a vacuum cleaner not a sweeper. I have ditched my Dyson and my carpets look so much better now that I'm using my AirRam.
