I've had a bit of time this morning so have posted on quite a few threads about the things I like on QVC, in quite a positive, upbeat fashion :sun:...so now it's time for a grizzle about things I don't like...:headbang:
Julian Ballantyne and his bizarre punctuation: "And I can tell you that...[pause]...33...[pause]...9...[pause]...392...[pause]...is the item number for the Noooorthern Nights...[pause]...Baffle Box Feather...[pause] bed...". And why does he have to start every presentation by talking about just how long the guest has been at QVC for i.e. same as him, forever. I know some like him but for me the only explanation for his continued residence at Le Q must be tenants rights.
Jill Franks - I just can't warm to her at all, she's soooo narcissistic. I find she really does ruin shows with her weak, indulgent presenting style. Simon Biagi is equally weak and his constant errors - from calling Dyermoaneek a 'gemstone' to not reading the autocue properly and giving out wrong item numbers and prices - proves a real source of irritation.
I really dislike the Kirks Folly woman/range and feel like some others on here there is a sense of playing on a vulnerable audience. I also can't respect Laurie Wickwire (I think that's what she's called) who is supposed to be a diamond merchant and claims QVC's diamonds are fabuloooouuus when they are pretty average in terms of quality and not great for the prices charged.
Ending on a positive note, I do have a tendency to like those that most others hate - I love Claire Sutton, she's so cheery, I like Debbie Flint, think she keeps it real (and asks good questions of guests), and quite like Craig Rowe, I certainly don't find him as irritating as many do. I even like David 'Yis good morning midim' Hawkins, he makes me laugh!
