What would make you buy from Gemporia again?

Just because this is the nearest thread, I will post it here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did I hear years back that the Tanzanite grading system was 'invented' by Gemporia and adopted the world over? And if that be the case, why is Jake rubbishing the system. Not buying scrabble.....

Yes I remember that?.

Although there's plenty of fake material online and buying from Troth & Co does guarantee some sense of authenticity - particularly for a common or garden mineral such as malachite, there are equally lots of genuine pieces available which, in my opinion, are more attractive for reasonable prices such as these for £60-ish, each. One mineral where shouting out the weight doesn't justify a silly "price per carat" comparison. I mean, it's not as if Troth is selling the scrap price of the copper inside, surely?!!
I wouldn't rule it out, anything's possible from that shyster!

In answer to the title of this thread, I bought a pendant that I have been watching for months. It was originally on an Ellis show and I liked the look of it, but they never got around to it and never dropped the price either. Its been going up and down in price, but when I checked a couple of weeks ago, there was only one left in stock, so I bought it. I haven't bought anything in months and months. I knew it was over priced, but I still paid £39.78 for it (in the olden days, it would have been £19.99. It arrived and the moonstone had a visible crack inside, all the way through, even my daughter could see it. I sent it back, saying it was faulty and its gone straight back into stock at £78.99. I'm yet to hear about a refund...
