I have found that the waitlist system is extremely hit or miss.
My most recent experience is that I ordered an item on waitlist in mid December and after a couple of months had the order cancelled automatically. I would normally go in and reorder to keep the waitlist open but the particular item was now showing as "sold out" with no waitlist available. This afternoon, I was having a browse and noticed that some of the colour options were now in stock and the one I wanted was once again available on waitlist.....but at a higher price than in December! (Presumably it was previously at introductory price.) I phoned CS to see if they were in the throes of restocking this item but they were unable to tell me when (if?) the waitllist orders would be fulfilled.
