I don't wear perfumed body lotions that match any perfume I refer neutral body lotion. I find loads of matching body lotions sickly.

It’s quite nice to get a body lotion or wash in a perfume gift set, like the ones they have in Boots at Christmas, just because they are usually effectively free, but I wouldn’t seek one out if I liked the perfume. Some of them smell absolutely nothing like the perfume to me.

Could not agree more, if the body lotion is included in a gift set I would use it but certainly wouldn't buy them separately, some of them seem to have little resemblance to the actual scent itself

I was interested in finding out a bit more about these fragrances but had to give up because Kathy Taylor just won’t shut up. Constantly interrupting and fed up hearing her. Is that the role of a presenter?

A lot of brands now play on the "layering" concept of matching perfumed bodywash, perfumed body lotion and then the perfume itself but it`s simply a way of upselling. The gift sets you find at Christmas are usally pretty much the same price as a stand alone fragrance but if you buy all the items individually it can cost a fortune. I don`t buy into it and I`m quite happy to use any old bodywash and any old body lotion and just count on my perfume for any fragrance.
High end brands such as Chanel would be around £60 for the smallest size EDP, then another £40 plus for a bodywash and around £40 plus for a body lotion. That`s nigh on 200 quid and silly money when just the perfume alone would make you smell just as nice.

I love chanel, particularly coco mademoiselle but everyone seems to wear it and the prices have really gone a bit silly, sometimes I just use the lid smell a like!

A Lidl copy? What is it called please as I’ve seen their perfume ranges occasionally and tested a couple but don’t recall one like Coco Mlle?

the Lidl copy you had to keep reapplying according to reviews so you used up really quickly. A friend wears Coco Mad, not a fan myself but agree with the complementary products very expensive.

Gift sets with body lotion I give the latter away.

I bought this one 100mls for £26 down from £82. I really love iris and it was a blind buy thought why not my last perfume purchase.

It is called Madamme Glamour, its only £3.99, it doesn't last all day but then for that price whose complaining?! I think personally it is one of the better smell a likes,

I totally agree. My preferred perfume is Chanel Coco (not Mlle) and I also use Lidl's Suddenly Woman 1 - I've just sprayed on each arm (to double check) and the initial fragrance is so similar. I use the Chanel if going out for the day or evening as it does linger longer (well when we did that!) But as I always wear perfume each day the Lidl one is a bargain at 3.99 - plus they sometimes do 2 for £ offers. In fact last year I was in B+Q and a young sales assistant stretched over me to the shelves and said I smelt lovely what was I wearing. I was chuffed as just out shopping and she was chuffed that it was something so affordable. Win win 🤗

We usually visit Turkey at least once a year and stay in the same hotel. In the nearby village there`s a little shop run by a strange man who makes copies of well known perfumes. They are dirt cheap, in plain bottles and are fabulous dupes. Last year we met up with my husband`s son and his partner who were holidaying in the next town. I took his partner to the perfume shop and she bought the copies of Coco and Coco Mlle. We were supposed to be returning this May and she asked me to get her 4 bottles because she honestly couldn`t tell the difference and unlike most dupes his stuff actually lingered on the skin all day. Sadly due to Covid our holiday was cancelled. My husband bought a couple of his dupes in male fragrances and I bought the copy of Angels and Demons perfume and it`s honestly great stuff. If we return next year I`ll stock up.

Did it sell out? I have been in hospital since Saturday moring with a compound ankle fracture. It's a nightmare! But I woke up today feeling a bit sick and remembered this TV so decided to treat myself. And it was yesterday! Hey ho. I'll be back to chat when recovered.
