Caught Dirty Pedro saying he wished he'd bought a Duchump! - the "sapphire blue" one, but there was only three left.
Look out for them back on tomorrow.

It's such nonsense this "how many left?"........pause......"ok, go to the telephone right, these will go, this is a clearance price, it's 1800 pound of watch, ok, not only, right".

Jezza claiming he bought a Shield Nitrox watch a few weeks ago.
He also claimed Jacques Cousteau wrote a testimonial about the watches.
I can find no mention of that anywhere.
Jacques Cousteau died in 1997

You beat me too it, was about to post something similar. :)

And you won't find it, cause he died before Shield existed.

The reason they've probably come out with this rubbish is because Shield use a quote from Cousteau on their site which has nothing to do with their watches, just something Cousteau said about diving. One of the stupid IW kids has probably seen his name on the Shield site and concluded he must have approved of Shield watches and wrote that quote specially for Shield.

From birth, man carries the weight of gravity on his shoulders. He is bolted to earth. But man has only to sink beneath the surface and he is free. – Jacques Yves Cousteau

BTW

Cousteau did own watches, Omega, Doxa, Rolex, Blancpain. So even if Shield had existed during his life I highly doubt they would have registered on his radar, or maybe sonar would be more appropriate. :)

Anyone in Northern ireland will remember Liesureworld, a toy and sports goods shop that wanted to be the Hamely's of Belfast and succeeded for 20 years

He thinks Christophe Duchamp is a bloke, I'm hardly surprised by his ignorance

OK, if we are making our own pretend luxury watch brand I have found a selection of Swiss names. They are from a generator but are genuine Swiss names. Which sounds like a brand we could flog? Your answers 1-5 (I don't know how to set up a poll, if you even can).

1. Leandro Fluck
2. Emma Brand
3. Toni Fankhauser
4. Adam Burk
5. Sebastian Büchi

See, I said you had a good memory.

I am happy to report that the demise of Wimpy is premature and they're still going.

Beefeater (Whitbread) is also still going.

Dixon's (DSG) bought Curry's and changed to that name but is still the owner, along with Carphone Warehouse now online only.

Think it's fair to say a few.of our lists have continued under new ownership with a new name. Asda bought many Somerfields. Morrisons bought Gateway/some Safeway's?

I think you misheard.

What he actually said was Jacqui Constow wrote a testimonial.

Jacqui runs a small watch shop called Cheap Timepieces.

Ken Barlow was on with Lindsey first thing this morning. Give him his due, I've never seen anyone else be able to make sausages look burnt to a crisp whilst at the same time looking raw and uncooked.

Not been online for a few days so it may have already been talked about. Watched a bit of Mike of the Market Stall late last week. First of all he was selling some headphones and came out with his favorite "I know sound" line before saying how he doesn't want to give us the history of Mike Mason. What? There is more to Mike Mason than having spent the past twenty years working on Shopping TV? Anyway, the next product he was selling was a memory foam cushion and Mike proceeded to inform us all how about his Rockford Files that he has suffered with. Mike is a proper man though. Developed his through all that straining he does at the gym. TMI Mikey, TMI.

Herself this morning. Always amuses why she feels she is some sort of Saturday Banana Oddie esque or Big Breakfast presenter - leading her ‘Crew’. Who gives a flying fu…which spotty oik is ‘working’ behind the scenes at dodgy camera angles, texts and price comparisons. Just get on with it and present the goods. It’s not Saturday Night Live, Luv… Though, on a rare positive note, that model, Linda, has a lovely, professional manner and a silky smooth voice. A role swop with Herself would do us all a huge benefit.

DOC I would be interested to know how much you or another think the Crissy Does Crap watches would be at a fair price?

DoC or Hammy I think is more likely.

You can certainly buy a Chinese made Cadisen or Pagani Design with NH35A automatic movement from Aliexpress for £50/£60, sometimes less if on offer. Steeldive tend to be a little more.

eBay/Amazon seem to start around the £90/£100 mark.

The bracelets can be a bit meh, but on Aliexpress there are plenty of "leather" straps or steel bracelets to choose from and should be simple enough to change.
