Caring for your lilies - Asiatic lilies prefer a moist, free-draining, neutral to acidic soil that is rich in organic matter. Plant your bulbs at a depth of approximately three times the size of the bulb. Choose a sheltered, sunny position and water regularly throughout the growing season.

Who in their right mind would pay £60 plus p and p for 18 Lilly bulbs??? I wouldn't even pay the TSV price!!

The gardening stall in Chelmsford has large pots of lilies in bud for £6.. My sister bought one from there last year. It’s come up again and in full bud.

We have cats, so that TSV is a huge no no for us. Dare say they won't mention lilies kill cats. They never do.

The fact that the pollen wasn’t good for cats was mentioned briefly this morning. The suggestion was to remove the stamens with the pollen on them. That might be a good idea but it sounds like a lot of faffing about to me.
