It's my opinion that they don't need to invite the really big spenders - they're already big spenders. It's the people they think just need a little bit of encouragement to
become big spenders who get invited to these things.
I don't know if I'd go again, but if you haven't been before it's definitely worth going.
When I went Leighton Denny was there and he was lovely to my daughter. Said daughter also had her picture taken with Alison Young and told her she was going to put it up on Facebook. (Like Alison even knew what Facebook was back then! :grin
Alison also did a couple of Q&A's and had a good old gossip about which models have had work done etc.
Nina Smashbox was there saying "exaaaactly" a lot - she was lovely.
Andrew from Gatineau was mobbed and handled it brilliantly. He beamed at ladies all day long.
SJ from BE gave the best makeovers and worked really hard.
The Benefit guys and gals completely ignored us when my daughter fainted. (not from the excitement - it was like an oven in there!) But the MOP girls were fab.
Lee from Philosophy nattered away like we were his old mates. The man was a
pro. :clapping:
Alpha H Michelle was very regal but gracious. (that's the only way I can describe her.)
Nails Inc painted nails all day and Decleor and Elemis were there too.
I smiled and said hello to Alexis towards the end of the afternoon and she barely looked up as she said "Ihaven'tgotanyfreebiesleft!" in a strident - and plummy obviously - tone. The Pecksniff's lady could barely give us the time of day either as she said the same.
We enjoyed meeting everybody else though and did get lots of freebies along the way.
Craig had just joined when we went so he was there.
At first it's very weird seeing people in real life but you soon get used to it. :clapping:
