Many hairdressers swear that Pantene ruins your hair, its the silicones which you think are making your hair so smooth and silky. I found it horrid stuff, made made my head itch.

dolly - eeekkkk!!!! my hair is thick and curly and all my life i've tortured it straight. i use whatever shampoo/conditioner is on offer in asda but invariably go bak to pantene because it's the only thing that calms it down and stops it being bushy. have done this for countless years and have never had problems with colour or anything else - although i do use wash and go the day before the hairdresser so it has no 'coating'. hmmmmm
