There is another ojon tsv on 13/3/11. We seem to be getting these every few weeks. How much shampoo do they think we need ? :flower:

Hi WSO40 - I know what you mean re the Ojon TSV's it seems like we are getting one a month at the moment. I received a parcel this am(with a TV Guide up until the 13 March) and could not believe my eyes when i noticed Ojon 5th Anniversary TSV - Sunday 13 march. Although i've got a stockpile i'm still interested in whats in it.........:cheeky: I think its time for another hair type to be considered in this one - we've had a couple of thickening products for fine hair TSV's of late - maybe the shine range? QP

Think since Estee Lauder bought Ojon there have been loads more TSVs appearing. Hello Denis.:clapping:

Pity when they bought Aveda they just pulled it from QVC altogether.

I've been reduced to having to pay the full price of £30 for the leave-in conditioner from Peter Jones today as I've completely run out and it is one product I can't live without  QVC never seem to include it in a kit and I couldn't even get it off ebay. Will be galling if it's in the TSV :hi:

There's a shop in McArthur Glen (near York) that sells a good range of ojon. It is a shop that apparently sell Estee Lauder owned products. They had lots of clinique ,Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown . Plenty of others to but can't remember .Decent size shop so had a good rummage. I was surprised to see ojon in there, they had really large sizes of shampoo and conditioner.:flower: :flower:

Hi Fulhamphil - Jayne(JustBeautyDirect) sells Ojon, maybe ask her if she stocks it/can get it for you. As you know she has a ST.com outlet(main page half way down) QP

I visit Cheshire Oaks which is also McArthur Glen. This sounds like The Cosmetics Company Store which they have there. Have never seen Ojon in there myself. Will have a nosey next time we go.

I ordered a kit at Xmas with the leave in glossing cream included- did not know if it was the same as leave in conditioner.

Hope this helps.

It could be the same store. I didn't notice the name of the shop. I went in hoping they had some elemis in ,but apparently it's all Estee Lauder products. They had a good selection of make up.They also had a good choice of ojon, some of it was really large sizes with pump dispensers. I don't go very often but I'll take more notice next time I go.It's definitely worth a look.:flower::flower:

It's different from the glossing cream, tho' that might have been a good alternative - will note for future reference! :happy

I've been to the Company Store at Canary Wharf and at Bicester - find it very hit & miss - sometimes bargains galore other times a complete waste of time

Oh another Canary here!!! Just looking on QVC's US site and there are 2 new Ojon ranges out, a damage repair one and another volumising one. I want.

If your cupboards are full fit to bursting
A maxed out credit card you are nursing
Show some restraint
QVC a charity it aint
Just have cup in hand
Leave phone on the stand
And squirm for poor Dennis
With flirty female presenters that are a menace
Then after the hour is up
Pat yourself on the back after downing cup
And repeat the same process thereafter
So your bank statement will bring lots of laughter

Check out the Ojon reviews on the Beautypedia website which is free to access until the end of February. They are a very mixed, the famous restorative treatment is not really such a mystical and wonderful formula apparently.

I don't trust Paula anymore, well not since she created her own range of products which of course are beyond fabulous(according to her).

She hates with a vengence any product made with natural ingredients. All of them are evil and dangerous to use on the skin.

But at the end of the day its only one woman's opinion. You read and take or leave what she says about a brand you may use and love. Philosophy,Elemis,Decleor etc.

Glad you said that Donna - I used Beautypedia for a while but then gave up when I relaised she had her own range of products to promote. She is so scathing about 'natural' beauty and particularly Decleor which she seems to really have it in for. She also made a fairly mean personal comment about Laura Geller too - just review the products not the person Paula!

:giggle:I agree it a wonder we all have any skin left after using such dangerous products. Her reviews did make quite amusing reading

I have not seen this site before (Beautypedia) until mentioned here although I have heard of Paula. There is not a lot that she does like!

In quite a few reviews that I have read she has not told the whole story.....in one (and a few others) she states it's weaknesses are the fact the moisturiser is in a jar but fails to add that those brands do supply a spatula and advise you to use it. Packaging shouldn't be a reason not to use a product.

In the Elemis Papaya Enzyme review she states that this is a moisturiser?? and also that the ingredient label does not mention that it contains Papaya which is does (Papain).

For Decleor regarding essential oils, yes these are irritating to the skin if used undiluted and in incorrect proportions. Undiluted oils (apart from tea tree) should never be used neat on the skin. She quotes that some oils are damaging but when you read the ingredient listing it is last and not at all evil in the way she makes out. All of the essential oils Decleor use are blended into a carrier oil. She also stated that an ingredient contained in a Night Balm is photo toxic but this is a night product, it is not for daytime use!

For Philopsophy's 'When hope is not enough facial firming and lifting serum' she actually quotes: "it won’t help minimize facial hair growth as claimed" absolutely no where is this ever claimed! A few porkies thrown in for good measure eh?

Attacking brands for not having anything to suit skins that have acne, skin pigmentation is just unfair, why should they? There are experts and brands that specialise in this category. Another is stating that brand didn't have moisturisers containing sunscreens when they did.

I came across one product that contained the ingredient 'Methylisothiazolinone' and she attacked this brand for using this because of it's sensitizing potential yet in one of her 'Best products' category another brand used this ingredient and it is ok? :wonder:

After reading many reviews and comments about brands and ingredients it certainly looks like she is trying to discredit them while pointing out that because of her knowledge and research, her brand is perfect and above all anything else. Like many skincare brands she's found something that is her USP that makes her's different from all the others.

Quite right in saying this is just her opinion, what product/brand she will hate another will love. Too many untruths in the reviews, I wouldn't trust her.
