Just read the Mally thread and it struck me that so many presenters and guests SHOUT at us. There really shouldn't be any need unless they have faulty microphones, in which case, get them fixed. If it's not Mally, it's AD, or Chloe (who gets louder as the hour progresses if I last that long). Please - there's no need to shout at me. I'm more likely to switch off than listen so don't do it.

To me it is the visual equivalent of those old fashioned shops where they would corner you and you ended up buying something just to get away. As they can't actually grab your lapels they think shouting you into submission will achieve the same result

I can't help thinking that the presenters know that what they are flogging is rubbish when they have to shout at us, at best it seems like a desperate and unprofessional ploy.

Am I the only one who wants to 'slap' Mally ? she must say "bullet proof" countless times in her presentation. What EXACTLY does that mean ? (yes of course I know what she's inferring), but bullet proof vests are worn as an aid to prevent dying from a gun shot - not an association I want to make with cosmetics. Those presenting cookware never describe them as 'bomb proof' !!!!

Alison Young and Mally, even worse when they are both on together. Always have to grab the remote to turn the volume down.

I agree Chloe gets progressively louder as the hour goes on. Pipa, Alison Young, Jill Franks all get pretty loud as well. Mally has to be the biggest ear drum assassin!

Some presenters who I quite liked at the beginning of their career (am thinking of Chloe in particular) now just get on my nerves.I know they are trying to get us to buy but the gushing over the top statements is off the radar.

The one who has changed most for me is Ali K. She never draws breath now whereas previously she was a real professional. As soon as Julia starts the shouting is the day I stop watching completely
Haven't watched at all today as it was AD, SG and chuntley none of whom I can bear to watch..

I agree about Ali K, last time I saw her was on a Yankee hour with Rosa, who couldn't get a word in edgeways. Rosa's hours are usually a pleasure to watch, AK ruined it for me.
As for SG......good grief! do they come any worse?

Mally and Lenny Feinberg are the LOUDEST GUESTS. Kim Mendelson gives them a run for their money sometimes. Presenters? Ali K shrieks, Ali Y squawks as does Pipa and much as I like Anne, she does both at the same time. Men? Miceal is excitable, as is Craig but not sure they are loud.

Who do I buy the most from? Hmmmm, have to think about that one. Maybe Kathy or Jilly.
