Kipling fans- what's the best bag?

Sounds like a Nemo, is there a zipped compartment, on the front of the main body just above the two pockets?

Found a picture, is this it?

YES YES YES !!! THATS IT ! Well done Janey and thanks. It is THE best ever body bag I've owned, its not too big, but large enough for the bigger items you need on a day out. WHY don't Kipling go back to their roots and do some decent designs.

Just found those pictures of the Nemo - obviously in the U.S. And there are none available on ebay either, so it looks like I will have to take loving care of my lime green special, as it cant be replaced.

I've seen a couple of nemo's on ebay in the past week - although the auctions may have ended by now.If I were you I'd trawl through all the pages (depends how desperate you are!!) as I tend to find, people don't name the bags as they don't know what they are....

Well Ihave done just that and am "watching" a couple on ebay.

Based on this thread I was keen on the Ginowan, the Jacqueline and the Rebekah It doesn't matter to me if they are QVC only but I have managed to find fault (sorry).
Ginowan- no key fob.
Jaqueline- PERFECT but no Key Fob
Rebekah- mixed reviews and no outer pockets (excluding sides).

The key fob is fantastic when unlocking the door in the dark. The outer pocket (preferably front AND rear) makes getting my purse (if zipped and against the body) work pass and train ticket really easy to get to without needing to open and rummage inside. Also I want shoulder straps that are slightly longer than the defea (strap length is the only fault with the Defea IMO). Variations on the defea tweak the design. On the leather one there is no key fob. On the new designs (combo etc) they have lost the back zipped pocket and may also have no key fob because of the lining.
Looks like my quest continues, but the Reth is soooo close.

Another vote for the Alvar - it's just right for me as a work bag.

It's a cross-body design and has just the right number of external and internal pockets to make it easy to find tickets, purse, phone etc.

I have a key fob in my ginowan.

If you're looking for straps longer than a defea - but basically a defea,I would go for the latona.Or adley but its a bit smaller

Thanks RD- I will take another look at the ginowan. Maybe I missed it on the product description.

And thanks for those suggestions- I had an Adley but returned it because I thought I would get more use out of a defea. I may have to think again because of the key fob (my defea is leather). Oh and the strap length. Whoever thought that choosing a kipling would be such an exact science?

Recently bought the adomma after asking for feedback on here, and I love it - more so than the large Fairfax. I bought the light brown adomma and keep my keys and work pass in one front pocket with change for parking in the small zip pocket in front of that. Phone and mirror compact in the other zip front pocket. Nexus tablet in the long zip front pocket. Body of the bag has my tintamar handbag organiser, brolly, large purse, makeup bag, easiyo lunch taker, scarf. I carry by the grab handles or over my wrist and because those handles are short they don't get in the way if I wear over my shoulder or cross body with the long strap.

My mum had both the Reth and the Breezer - she preferred the organiser mesh bit of the Breezer and always said that she thought the Reth felt bulkier than the other.

Thanks for that, I use a breezer for holiday and often looked at the reth when at a good price, but did think it appeared quite bulky.

Best cross body styles I've had are the hannelora and one that was done for breast cancer care - can't remember the name of it though, might have been angelica or something like that.

ME! (sorry for capitals). I bought a Reth and returned it because flower print was too loud.Just bought it in gentle greyin Amazon for nearly half the price and free delivery. The design is fantastic- it has everything I need in a bag.It holds all my stuff but to be completely perfect it would be a bit bigger.

I had a breezer and gave it away. It is a weird shape IMO, all the stuff in the mesh pouch just falls to the bottom and I need external pockets which the Reth has but the Brownie is lacking (it may have one but I dont recall it being particularly useful)

All in all the Brownie is strange, rather like a glorified mens toilettry bag! Whereas the Reth, is rectangular but a truly useful design.

Good points, I do like external pockets and have always felt the breezer to be very boxy but I only use it travelling. The reth seemed less boxy but bulky - may succumb in a bright colour when an amazon deal is on.

Right! Please stop me! I have just more than doubled my kipling collectionin less than a week. I had 2- a red Kos and a leather defea.

I ordered a large fairfax (because I regretted selling mine) on Amazon also a Reth. Warm Grey and gentle grey respectively. I know the colours are boring but they will go with my boring clothes and will be balanced by my purchase of a dark peony Ginowan from Le Q. I can always send it back but I think the lack of a description threw me in the App.

The Reth and the Fairfax both had free delivery and the 2 of them together cost only marginally more than one full price Defea from le Q.

Great topic!
My first Kipling bag was the Morrissey which was a QVC TSV, and came with the small make-up bag, and it's such a comfortable shoulder bag that I bought another in a lovely aubergine colour at the outlet store at Gunwharf Quays - but it doesn't seem to be available anymore.
In the last year I've bought:
2 Fairfax bags which I use most of the time because I like the size, love all the pockets - it's a great handbag!
A Defea, which I love when I'm travelling because it's similar to the Fairfax, but much roomier
And my newest discovery is the Avlar which is a really comfortable cross-body bag with a nice long strap, has really handy pockets and is fab for hands-free shopping trips!
I've been looking at all the different styles recently as I'll be at Gunwharf Quays again soon, but I can't see any I think I'd prefer to these three - so I guess I'll be looking for more of the same.... but in fab new colours!

I have a reth and a breezer and theres not much in it TBH in difference.I find the reth much more of a box shape and much more of a toiletry bag shape (?? if that makes sense??) but I do prefer the very definite compartments.

I've had two breezers and whilst my first was very much a staple and well used and well loved,I realise my tastes and needs have changed and I don't get on with my breezer so well now.Thats a personal thing though...although I find it very awkward and box like too sometimes.
