Before I had a problem, I never really understood the mechanics of hair growth... for anyone that secretly has an issue but doesn't want to mention it, this site is a God send:

For me, I spent literally thousands on treatments, experts etc and, if things hadn't slowly improved, I was even considering a transplant (which doesn't have a high success rate for women).
The advice that most dermatologists and tricologists agreed on was taking slow release iron / L-lycine / B12 and eating major amounts of protein... that helps your body make the most of what it has... but won't address the underlying health issue which, for me, was (and is) an autoimmune problem.
Sorry, but it becomes an obsession after a while...
