A woman (whos has lovely Yorkshire accent) was saying on LBC recently she had to 'cleanse' her accent in the 1990, to even be considered for a radio job in London. Now, a regional accent (particularly northern England) in the metropolitan is very trendy! She regrets losing her accent, but admits that her born and bred London children consider her accent 'very northern' LOL However she stressed they are not posh & say 'run the bath' rather than 'Mummy please draw the bath'
I personally think Grammatical correctness wins over accents these days, I admit having no idea which geographical location Chloe gained her pretty accent from! I adore her little teddy also. (Puppy, probably huge now!)
