I remember the blowing out of the candle, but it never persuaded me to buy anything from Bose.

It was introduced in 1993, had some updates to a Mk4 version, then discontinued in 2017 so that's 24 years of blowing out candles

Here is a completely independent review, he thought it was much better than he expected (just like me) - -

I'd have added a couple more questions to that list and those would've been

1. Have you ever told your significant other that you paid a lot less than you did for something? My answer - Oh yes all the time and even then he's said "how much?!"

2. Have you ever hidden parcels or watched from the window for postie to make sure you rush down and retrieve them before anyone else claps eyes on them? Again, yes, multiple times in fact "Any post love?" No just a parcel for downstairs! Note to self -don't forget to go down and retrieve it when he's engrossed with the tv!

3. Ever had screen burn from a shopping telly logo? I'll be honest no, but I read once, maybe on here that somebody said they could see the Bid up logo even when their telly was switched off!

4. Have you ever hastily changed channels onto a mainstream channel when you hear the key in the lock? - Yes more times than I care to mention!

After YEARS of resisting (because it was a very expensive item and I didn't believe the hype) I bought a BOSE WAVE RADIO and liked it so much I bought another.

Anyone remember the "blowing out a candle" demo?

I now have loads of BOSE items, off the top of my head over a dozen, all introduced by QVC, some bought cheaper elsewhere.

Saw the demos on QVC but bought products from their store in Gunwharf Quays. I have an eclectic taste in music so took a few cds with me to try out which cd player I needed. They were very obliging and let me play a few tracks. Glad I did as it saved money as the one I thought I needed would have been too powerful. Must be 15 years old and still going strong.
