Finally closing my QVC account...

So, I've been in Australia now since last July, have bought a few TSV's which my sister and friends have kindly posted over or brought over when they visited. But there's only so many times I can ask people to do that...especially just for makeup! So I guess it's off to eBay for me for any bits I want from now on. It's really only going to be Laura Geller or Elemis (oh I'll miss the Christmas TSV's!!!), now that Smashbox is being pulled. I've been a member since about 1998, have had good and bad to say about them, definitely been buying less and less as the years went on after a few muck up's left me either raging with anger or without Christmas presents at the last minute due to shoddy delivery.

My first order was in either 99 or 2000 having been turned on to them (primarily for the beauty TSVs) by a friend but my rate of orderng has gradually dimished over the years. Now I only tend to go for TSVs, OTOs, duos, or something with free P&P. There are so many places you can get them cheaper on-line and, of course, e-bay. I still watch, for the demos and the hints and tips but I'm becoming much more savvy, even in relation to the TSVs and will always compare the on-line price for the product I'm interested in, and offset it against whether I'm even interested in the 15ml samples that come with the TSV etc. I do wonder how they'll compete in the longer term but also, Royal Mail are going to be announcing major price hikes soon, so the already extortionate P&P could end up being almost as much as the product itself.
