On tv now in diamonique all that glitters, is she the one that Tova uses too? She always looks a bit under the influence, to me. Could it be that modelling jewellery is so tedious that the girls have a permanently dazed vacuous expression?

Yes, Debbie Flett is normally the one Tova uses. I'm sure modelling jewellery is quite tedious... the amount of time they must be sitting there in a piece of jewellery waiting for the camera to come onto them. I imagine they can't pull faces or fidget or whatever. They must be ready to spring into action doing whatever is required to make the item show to its best advantage.

I always feel a bit sorry for them when the presenter suddenly focuses on the model and starts asking them questions about the item and sometimes tries to get a bit of banter going.Mostly they look like they would rather be somewhere else.

I couldn't do it. I can't sit still - proper fidgeter... plus I couldn't last without popping to the loo (which apparently is a bit of a trek from the studios). Would feel more like 3 hours than 1 hour for me.

Why do they always refer to her as Debbie Flett yet the other Models just get called by their first name?

I suppose it's because there is also Deborah Ann who models for Trinnie & Susannah, Bare Minerals and Vercella Vita. Mind you, it doesn't stop them calling both Sharons by only their first names...

LOL I think that's her serene look. She's probably been practising that in the mirror for ages. I do always think she has a very soft focus look about her, I'd never thought she might be under the influence of any substance.

TBH I dont think some of the models are the brightest button in the box. I'm sure they are all very nice girls and perhaps it is the daft questions the presenters throw at them which makes them appear a bit on the dim side.

I used to like Sharon doing jewellery but I havent seen her since Joan Rivers days. She is not even on as much with the clothes as she used to be but I did note that in last nights Kimmy show she was sporting a pair of chesticles to give Joy a run for her money.

I rather Like Debbie Flett-she's ageing normally and has laughter lines and wrinkles like the rest of us mere mortals, and it re-enforces to me the message that all the skincare products in the word can't halt natural ageing but you can still look good and have great skin.
