Hello Smiley1, and welcome to the forum. Of course you're not annoying, we've all got different opinions . What I was trying to say, maybe not very clearly though, is if you were a brand new customer, you might have bought a kit from QVC and fancied a nosey around the LE site, it's not plainly obvious about the Avon takeover. Someone would have to go into their blogs back to 2010 to see. Also what sits a bit odd with people is the company saying that Avon bought out the company giving LE a hugh cash injection to bring out new products but do not want a share of the profit, as it seems from what LE are saying it's all going back into the company. So what exactly did Avon get out of it if not a share of the profit?

- who from what I've read are investing in identifying methods of testing products/ingredients that don't involve testing in animals, but in the meantime they're quite happy to continue using animals for testing. I'd rather companies abandoned their quest for breakthrough anti-aging super products and leave animals alone, rather than coming up with new ingredients which they feel compelled to test on animals. They should find some humans test on instead.

Thanks for posting that info on Elemis Capirossi, just read it on Keeley's facebook page. Good to see a full statement as there's little info on Elemis website. Wonder why they've not pursued getting approved for the leaping bunny, as that seems to be the best way to let the public know a company's position on animal testing.

avon stopped animal testing 20 years ago i remeber it being an issue i'm suprised if they do tests on animals now. as i said before its a massive step backwards imao

They want the money China will bring them, in fact its greasing palms to get into China which is what the fraud is about. China demands all beauty products sold in their country must be tested there for safety on animals.

The only Avon product I have truly been impressed with is the newish range of hair colour, and their blonde eyebrow pencil (although having finally tested it I agree the YBF is better). As for Liz Earle I no longer buy the brand especially since the sell out to Avon. The real reason though is that I found a brand that just suited my skin better. I just don't understand this blind, childish, vacuous obsession with a particular brand. It's laughable, as if it's like being part of a gang. They need to grow up, buy what works well for them and leave others to buy what suits them too. What does it matter what brand your friend uses? If you have similar skin types, then fine, it's nice to reccommend something for them to try but it's awfully sad that total strangers on facebook get into loyalty debates about such drivel!
