Charlie bears...all sold out!

Diesel has just arrived and I just can't believe how totally gorgeous he is!! He's sitting here beside me with his head turned towards me to keep an eye on what I'm doing!

uptheferrets, I can totally understand how you could fall in love with Diesel at first sight...he's simply stunning!!

If any of you are thinking of treating yourselves to a Charlie Bear, I can thoroughly recommend Corfe Bears!! Hayley and Stacey are the husband and wife team there and they really do pull out all the stops to help you find the bear of your dreams! ( When Hayley heard that Diesel was a valentine's gift, she sent him out next day delivery, at no charge whatsoever to me, to make sure I got him on the day! She even emailed me this morning to make sure he arrived safely.)

Hayley told me she is expecting more stock of Diesel (and lots of the new Spring 2009 collection) from Wednesday, so if any of you are on waitlist for him, I would seriously recommend getting him from here instead...QVC waitlists can be a bit hit or miss in my experience.

Toril..has your Slothy Joe turned up yet?? Could I ask you to pm me...Hayley came up with a suggestion which I think you'll really like!!

And it goes from bad to worse I was in the shower when the postman tried to deliver the Little D bear I ordered last week from QVC, this morning. The card he put through the door said 'Collect in 4 hours' which have been 1.30 p.m. Unfortunately, they close on Saturday at noon ......... so he'll be stuck in his box until Monday.

Another admirer of Charlie Bears here..:ANYWORD:

I ordered Holly in the pre Christmas show, with guaranteed delivery before Xmas. Well that didn't happen and she arrived about a week and a half later. Luckily my lovely grand daughter had a 3rd birthday in mid Jan and so Holly became her birthday present instead!!

Meantime I had 'discovered' Magpies and saw that they sell sofas and chairs for the bears and ordered the Chaise Longue as well. Now the whole family loves them (inc my S-I-L) and Holly and friend have pride of place in the lounge and my GD loves her to bits.

Now I want one for ME! We love Jodie but she was soon sold out last week. :31:

Because Jen sold out on QVC I ordered her direct from the Charlie Bears website - and it was cheaper (£24.99 including delivery). She is gorgeous and will join Sarah that we bought for my daughter Sarah last year. Charlie Bears are great value for money and the quality is excellent. If you are tempted, all I can say on this occasion is don't resist temptation!!

Well I gave into temptation..and am so glad I did!!!!

Incidentally,the Charlie Bears website don't sell the bears direct so I think you must have got Jen from one of their stockists with a similar name!

Blimey! You do well with your post office - the soonest I can collect a parcel is 24 hours, and if you want it re-delivering you have to wait at least 48!

Yay! Kevin gave me "Peter" today for Valentines! He is wobble jointed and is completely black except for a little grey nose. Peter was the name of his Dad who died at the age of 39 when Kevin was just 11. He joins my 204 :11: other Charlie Bears, or at least that's how many Kevin says I have, I don't count, I just buy, but he checked them out to find one I haven't got.

I love bears, I have collected Steiff and Hermann for as long as I can remember and have over 500 of them but I can get 5 or 6 Charlie Bears for the price of one of them and they are beautifully made. I managed to locate the retired bear "William" for my son's (William) girlfriend at Christmas and she was thrillled with him. One thing was for sure, she wasn't getting my William bear, no matter how much she wanted him!

Corey arrived yesterday, and has settled in happily. He is the most gorgeous bear I have ever seen. Funny thing, though - when he emerged from his little bag, he insisted his name was Ralph. So Ralph he is.

Scuse me, I am Ralph, a CB L/E of 300 with an alpaca coat, not that little plush scruffy with a tartan ribbon!! I do tolerate Corey though cos he lives very near me and is nearly twice my size!

Snap! He is lovely isn't he. I wasn't really into black bears before because of the connotation but I have changed my mind today. He is sitting beside me now, much to my cat's annoyance! I really appreciate the flat bottoms on most Charlie Bears because it makes it so much easier to pose them!

I always understood this to be the home of Charlie Bears : http://www.charliebears.co.uk/ ....and they give a page of links to stockists. When I was trying to find my bear, I emailed Charlie and she replied directing me to this list.
