It appears that, with certain product ranges, the Q has 'specialist' in house presenters; Charlie Bears - Charlie Brook; Gardening - Julian Ballantyne; and Catherine Huntley seems to be the main presenter for LG shows, probably because she "and all the family are LG addicts" as she is so fond of telling us. Watching a show with Lulu she did today, it was quite embarrassing; la Chuntley couldn't heap enough flattery upon her - was she hoping for a freebie? - and this is possibly another reason she does the majority of the shows. This woman has a family and, I would imagine. quite a lavish lifestyle, yet she can spend hundreds of pounds on a handbag? I would concur, however, that she earns her money, so can spend it how she wishes. I'm the same, but only have myself to consider - and my two boxers - but my priorities, financially, are obviously miles apart from her's.

I agree, I can just about watch CH with Lulu, but have to turn off if JF is presenting.

I heard her say to Lulu the other day that she was flustered because she was starstruck. Lulu loved it.

I thought it was funny when that woman phoned in. Catherine asked if she got many comments about her bags, and the caller said something like - not that many because nobody where she lives recognises their style and elegance. Lulu burst out laughing and Catherine looked like she really wanted to as well. She did manage to suppress it though - I suppose the two of them pi$$ing themselves laughing at a customer would be viewed badly by the bosses - they have subtler ways of disrespecting us

It's funny how we all hear things differently... I heard that caller and she said herself that there was nothing locally that sold brands and seemed to find it funny herself that people may not know the brand... I didn't see the presenters as being at all disrespectful; I think they were joining in with the spirit of the caller.

I probably didn't put it very well - I really didn't think they were being disrespectful. I got the impression that Lulu found the style and elegance phrase funny, and that Catherine wanted to laugh at Lulu laughing but didn't in case it hurt the caller's feelings. It was just an impression though - you're absolutely right about people hearing things differently - and probably completely off the mark.

Didn't that caller then go on to mention that you could buy the bags at Cheshire Oaks designer outlet? I'm sure somebody phoning in and mentioning another, probably cheaper, source for LG bags wouldn't go down too well with the powers that be!

Wasn't she from Anglesey? There's at least one person there who would recognise style and elegance but they always try to link her to Aubrey bags.

I loved the bit where CH kept harping on about how she would LOVE to spend some time at the LG HQ seeing the bags being made from start to finish..... Would be great, she would love it....... The silence from LG was deafening.....doh:

I think Lulu was more relaxed with Jill. They seemed to be having a laugh. I actually like Jill when she is in a good mood! Lynnonthelake I am not sure but I think they probably are/ LG mentioned today that they have a new factory that she is really pleased with, but seemed to stop short of mentioning too much in case she gave the game away! The 'proper' LG bags are of exceptional quality. The QVC ones are, mostly, tat. :bandit:

Yes, it was a bit awkward - rather like when a caller rang in to a Ken Paves show and said how much she would love to come to the studios and have Ken do her hair - the silence was embarrassingly deafening then as well!
