Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.
Can anyone tell me what the point of a tinted or colour corrector primer is? The right foundation covers any problems anyway, so are the tinted primers similar to a tinted moisturiser?

No they are not. They give no coverage, the green one is suppose to tone down redness, but your need to put concealer and or foundation over it. All you get is a faint green tint on the skin.

Some are orange to help sallow skin.

Some are brightening they will have a white luminous glow

I have never came across one which will cover redness without concealer or foundation over.

Tinted moisturiser will give a little colour to the skin, some more than others. In the old days all tinted moisturiser where bronze to give a sun kissed glow. Now they come in natural skin shades. Some women as they get older don't like the heavy feel of foundation so go the tinted moisturiser, or if you just want your skin brightened up a bit without the full face of makeup. Basic answer its a moisturiser with a colour.

The Clarins one is good for fine lines and pores, now I don't use powder foundation only liquid and never had a problem. The SA told me its the only one you can actually use right up under your eyes.

They're not enough to cover discolouration alone, but they're meant to take the edge off it so you can use less foundation, or if you have a particular problem with it and struggle to cover it. They're very much an optional step and a matter of preference. I find a lilac or lavender tinted one helpful for my sallow skin, it makes me look a bit brighter and healthier. I don't get on with orange ones that are meant to fulfill the same purpose though, they just make my finished base look kind of... dirty, really.

philosophy flawless poreless. the best primer ever. its soooo good my brother uses it. if your skin tone is very good you can use it on its own and it stops greasiness and sweating lol. oddly I like the laura geller one very cooling and mattifies well without being chalky. also stops oiliness and sweating. benefit do a primer in a tube there is very little that benefit does that is not fab. better than mally and all the other makeup brands that qvc keep churning out.
Oohhhh where does he get it from please? Last time I contacted philosophy they said is was being discontinued in the uk
