Just a quick update to everyone - my rebounder arrived yesterday, and I am really pleased and impressed. It is very light, but extremely sturdy - I think the person who has this posted that it is difficult to close without 2 people and there are warnings all over saying "please close with 2 people". It isn't huge. The DVDs are all included in 1 disc and there is a "how to set up" section and exercise programmes for "first timers" , "beginners" "seniors","intermediates" an "advanced" and a "tummy" - a different tummy section is included in the beginners and I would presume in the intermediate and advanced, but haven't got that far because I am a bit shattered because I've got shingles. Interestingly there was no carrycase in my box and when I phoned up CS they said that they couldn't send me out one, but that they would arrange a pick up to replace it - I decided against that because I don't need to carry it around, so they refunded my postage which I was pleased about.
Sorry for the long post, I think this one is a keeper
Well for anyone that is interested I tried out the Urban rebounder and it is absolutley brillinat. It really works all the body especially the abs and legs. definately keeping this piece of kit I did the half a hour workout and am looking forward to using it again tomorrow
Just had to second what Dazzler says - I've used this now about 5x (just the beginners section) and it is a real workout, the instructor is clear and easy to follow and you get very hot and sweaty which is no bad thing in my book. I think it is really good for the abs as they keep reminding you to hold your abs in, and the ab section seems to work deeper with less strain because you are lying on the rebounder itself. I also think it works the pelvic floor!
I keep mine out but with the legs collapsed, it just rests up against a wall, and it's very light to roll or lift into position.
I've not had any problem with bouncing off (I am spectacularly clumsy) or with my knees/ankles hurting which stopped me running.
I really think that it is a great piece of kit, with a very good DVD which takes you from starters to advanced with a good few workout in between.
