Well to say June has been Beauty Month on QVC I have a been terribly disappointed. I bought the Miolton Brown TSV but it. Nothing else has tempted me in the slightest. Has anyone else felt the same as me or perhaps you feel differently and have been impressed with it.

Yes I think it has been disappointing, I like the beauty shows but it does seem that beauty month is no different to any other month on Q, in fact next month with the Elemis and Doll10 Tsvs seems more appealing to me than what we have had for this month, I can't believe we have yet another Ultrasun tsv coming up, unless you spend half the year abroad who needs all this sunscream! It's not that warm at all today in Birmingham!

It just seems like the same old, same old.

In fact, today just seems to be household stuff on air.

Not sure what that has to do with "beauty month", but still...

I was excited towards Tarte TSV and then deflated having had to return it. Looking forward to Doll 10 TSV too, not interested in any skincare at the moment.

It's been no different to any other month, has it? The used to have the beauty awards in June, which made sense to me. Thy also used to have special shows featuring bloggers and beauty editors too, none of those this month that I've noticed? Also yes, the beauty TSVs have been underwhelming/unnoticed.

Every month is beauty month on QVC. Nary a month goes by without at least a beauty day, if not a beauty weekend. They have beauty product of the month, usually also a supersize of the month... several beauty TSVs... it's all too, too much. Beauty isn't an event to make space for in your diary, it's just not special any more. We know about everything coming up for most of the year ahead thanks to so many eagle-eyed spotters who attend beauty bash... and that's before you get to insiders' sneaky-peeks, bloggers previews and sharp eyes finding the item numbers well in advance.

So in a way it is inevitable that QVC's beauty events are increasingly damp squibs that never live up to the hype surrounding them.

Besides, more and more of the previously exclusive products are available elsewhere at competitive prices and better p&p.

That's not to say there are no more bargains to be had, but we're getting savvier and less likely to jump in because of the deterrence of the p&p, returns measures and the prospect of "The Letter".

New brands, exciting launches er no wait a minute. Didn't happen did it.

I did buy the Tarte TSV, its okay like the palette, lipstick and foundation. The rest of it I gave away so in future I doubt I will buy another. This is the month they should be bringing the new unknown brands highlighting them. Extra special days besides the Beauty thing of the month.

Oh, just a heads up. Do expect the TSVs etc to go up in price again, the pound is now down against the Euro and the Dollar so brands will want more money.

This is the last Ultrasun TSV for the year. So I think they had three altogether this summer. I bought the last one, as we are off to the US at Christmas so the supersize sports 20 will be great.

Yes, I've found it a little underwhelming too - although I did buy x4 TSVs - Molton Brown (OH saw it while I was on holiday, so got it for me, might not have bothered myself though if I was home), Liz Earle, Ultrasun & tarte. I also bought the tarte highlighter palette.

The tarte TSV was the most disappointing as my palette is falling apart. I do like love the foundation though and the bag (for a change).

Ohh your palette is falling apart, not good. So many good reviews with this brand, not yet tried it! Nothing has tickled my fancy, in fact anytime I've switched on it's been anything but beauty, LOL! My stash is decreasing which is the best news yet :mysmilie_5:

Must admit, I'd completely forgotten it was supposed to be beauty month, which kind of proves whitesnake's point! Yes, it all started with that cringeworthy advert about QVC being the beauty industry's best kept secret, didn't it?

How exciting! :mysmilie_14: Whereabouts? The '80s child in me has always fancied going to New York at Christmas to see the Christmas tree in Times Square, the Macy's parade etc, like in all the Christmas films I grew up watching! Plus the obvious shopping connection.

I did not even know it was beauty month! I have had QVC on even less in the last week ! I have only mainly been having the picture on as as background and listen to the radio! With all the political unrest at the moment I have had news channels on!

Same here ,I got into the shopping channels to avoid the news channels ,but they have become so boring especially Q . Ive started buying more via Amazon. Have been watching more news as well because of historic stuff going on.

I ended up buying the Elemis double cleanse OTO yesterday and also bought the Laura Geller matte maker oil blotter, so turns out I did actually buy a few things this month. lol!

I really like tarte, not had any issues yet apart from with this palette. I would recommend them.

I must admit, I've always thought that sounds nice too, but we are actually going to Florida where I'm hoping the weather will be much warmer than New York will be. lol!

Beauty month has all been a bit meh, it's all the same items over and over, and what annoyed me the most was keeley selling the superfood oil as if it was the second coming, using a face oil with some of the same things in it as a green smoothie is not the equivalent of drinking one no matter how many times she says it doesn't make it true. OK rant over lol

Staticboombox, I agree - the endless banging on about "you wouldn't drink a green smoothie in the evening" has driven me insane - maybe I like to drink green smoothies at night, eh eh eh????!!! They're obviously trying to get in on Decleor's facial oil stranglehold (I love the stuff) and they're using any tactic possible, no matter how lame-o!

The problem I think with QVC and beauty is that they are losing their edge - a lot of the brands have defected to other retail outlets, so they have lost that element of exclusivity (as well as some of the brands) and their non-TSV prices are simply not as competitive as they used to be, Liz Earle being a classic example. They also seem to have largely stopped making the more educational type shows where they have experts in to actually answer questions as well as talk about their products, rather than endlessly flogging one product after another. Aside from the weekly Ali Young shows and occasional ad hoc brand shows, it's all hard sell - it's probably a naive point to make, mind, it is after all a shopping channel, I just don't enjoy watching it any more because of that.
