I can't watch when QVC is doing food. Aside from the fact that the ducks bipedal irritates me intensely. But mostly I cannot believe that people will pay these ridiculously inflated prices for foods that can be sourced locally. I mean spending the thickest part of £1 per sausage and then delivery on top. Cakes, pies, biscuits etc. Nothing really specialist. Utter madness but there are clearly customers who have too much disposable income.

Yes,I used to think him (and Dale) were amusing..I now find Peters unbelievably irritating..watched yesterday's show and you could see some of the guests having to bite their tongues at his constant rudeness, particularly about Gill Gauntlet's stewed apples!..I think it's only a matter of time until he's dropped....preferably from a great height.

Don’t bet on it, if the sales are good.
It seems to me that far too many who long to be famous (and get their 15 minutes of fame) have fought like polecats or worse like honey badgers to get their time in the spotlight. They won’t relinquish it without a bloody fight, and they won’t leave quietly… and they won’t willingly share even the dimmest spotlight.
I am convinced the Mr Peters had a real battle to achieve what he’s achieved, and if we can see he has a not-very-nice persona, he must be terrifying in person… unless that’s an act and he’s really a lamb in real life.

He has a television production company, doesn’t he? Quite a successful one by all accounts. He clearly has great belief in himself. Nothing wrong with that, but at times, even if it may be somewhat tongue in cheek, that comes over as arrogance and a superiority complex, which aren’t particularly pleasant qualities to watch. He can appear rude and dismissive to some of the demonstrator guests on there. And you sense he can upset people in this context at times. Least, he upsets me watching him do it. People who speak their minds can be quite an entertaining watch, Others just come over as bloody rude. Take your pick on that for him. Like all the so-called ‘big’ names on there - take him and them out of the big fish in a small pool world of shopping television and he becomes a small kipper thrown back into a big sea again - front of camera in real television world.

I cannot abide that arrogant fool Peters and will never watch QVC when he is on. I really do not understand the logic of QVC employing him, he would put me off buying anything, how he increases sales is a total mystery. I have never come across anyone who actually likes him. I can only assume he is there as a box ticking exercise!!!

It's not like Ruth, who is professional and courteous. Being on TV doesn't have to mean letting your inner obnoxious out... but if he owns his own production company he must be used to being on an unchecked power trip.

Hubris can be a great asset, obviously. Or maybe it's the size of those ugly (imho) but eye-drawing guns.
