Personal opinion from my observations, just by looking at the animation of Alison Keenans face... (I've not seen her recently however)
I feel, Alison has gone down the facial filler route. Possibly using a product called Restylane®. Some women go down this 'non-surgical' route, because the client is aware of facial atrophy (volume loss), yet has no R&R available for a scalpel assisted lift, or deal with the complications associated. Personally, looking at AK, her best option would be a rhytidectomy & platysmaplasty (face & neck lift) THEN supporting fillers (AKA the Lulu 'yeah yeah yeah' route)
As Alison's choice looks like fillers alone, this results in an over-puffy 'pillow-face' look, and the distortion of the lips might be caused by swelling in the mouth area (due to over filling of nasolabial folds, giving a lion mouth look) or general swelling (that does happen for a week or so after the injectables have been administered) this is because acid gel that is contained in the filler, will absorb water and temporarily appear swollen or edematous. This transient swelling will go away with time, so it could be that giving AliK an 'odd' look Also dryness and chapped could be soreness from needle placement
Personally, I would always say scaplel first, fillers second. Funny analogy - the face skin is a double duvet cover, as the years pass, the duvet inside shrinks. Only sensible to trim the cover, for a nice taught uniform fit rather than add bits of lumpy duvet:grin:
However.... (whispers) high cc's of fillers are more financially beneficial for the Dr administering, compared to the cost of a one-off lift, with little filler. :mysmilie_17:
"have some more filler, madam..."
Either way, I wish her good health.
