Presenters 'duetting'

Talking about duetting presenters, I've been flicking through the channels and who did I see with Debbie Flint? Ruth Linnett from Gemporia! Flogging fake gems on base metals.

I quite liked Ruth Linnett. She was one of the last of the knowledgeable presenters before she went.

The only irritation was the continual random outbursts of "Sausages" or "Shopping". Not sure what that was all about.

I always thought she was crazy as a box of frogs, but likeable. I've also no idea what the 'sausages' thing was all about, but I supposed the 'shopping' shout-out was just to encourage people to buy.

7 pm and I've just watched a few minutes of Jess and Toby, duetting over the presenting of some lip balm or another from a toiletries range. What is the point of having two presenters on screen when they are just talking over each other? It's virtually impossible to make head or tail of what they're saying, because each of them are saying something different. Switched over and on the Gem Collector side we have Emily giggling while presenting something called Egyptian Desert Glass. Good grief, can it get any worse? Looked like a piece of chalk from where I was viewing.

I personally find the whole dual presenting thing just unnecessary. It is much better with a calm single presenter like Jeff in Gemporia or maybe Chloe on TJC. I find two OTT at times.
