I am rather fortunate in that its just a five minute walk for me into out local town centre. Today I bought a couple of Yankee candle. Then I went for coffee and a cake with a friend. All rather civilised.

I am on holiday and passing the time watching the 10pm show. I was amused when Lulu was warbling on about one of her products. She said that when she tried it for the first time someone said to her "have you had something done to your face - oh the irony lol

Today, I was in Keswick ( where it was raining ). I must admit I was surprised to see Skagen watches on sale at an up market jewellers. Its a range I have been tempted to buy. I only had time for a look at them in the shop window - but they did look rather good :cool:

Why is it that Amazon and many other outlets and firms have much faster delivery than QVC?? One of the reasons I rarely buy from QVC is the combination of high P&P and slow delivery times.

I'm a school governor, who has had many years experience of interviewing/ short listing etc, so I've read many CV's - I know what you mean :grin:

The phrase that gets me is "I have this at home or use this all the time" - I would like them to prove it sometime!

For me its a Rug - Royal Palace I think they were called - the brand disappeared years ago. I have mine well over 10 years and none of the colours have faded!
