I'd rather have a really nice Garnet for a fraction of the price. Garnet is a much nicer stone, and very affordable.
I have to say, I am fond of Garnets myself. And not just coz it's my birthstone. And as I'm here, I will comment on what's on now. Kate has just finished selling a ruby and pearl pendant. Question. Do you think she should have said this? > Paraphrase of course. Doesn't this remind you of Gemporia of old? < Does that imply she thought the 'of old' was better quality? ;)

It does make you wonder what they think deep down, hidden behind the faux shock faces and constant hyping everything up.

I wonder if she was referring to the prices more than the quality? Gemporia have always sold mostly filled Rubies of cloudy 'clarity' that are purplish-red in colour, rather than 'pure' red - even back in their 'peak' days.
