Andi Peters is on for two hours Friday and two hours on Saturday with his “wonderful” food fest. 🙄 I won’t be watching because he really grates on me and the food is aways the same old, same old anyway. I’m also not a fan of presenters stuffing their faces and going “mmmmm, delicious” all the time.
He always positions his mug (the drinking kind) in full view of the camera. He can't get enough attention.

I used to watch these shows when they first came on and they were quite amusing and I did buy one or two things. However, all these years later they still have the same products on and nothing you can't buy for a fraction of the price in the supermarkets. Lidl do all the German biscuits and gingerbread (although I do quite like the man that comes in and does the demos), branded cheese truckles are everywhere and you can buy a gallon of wine in Asda for the price of 6 x 25cl mini bottles on QVC.

I'm done with buying tons of food for Christmas as well as it's just the two of us and now we go away to a hotel and let them worry about cooking the turkey. We actually save money and nothing ends up out of date and in the bin.

I think that the food on QVC is bought in the main by people who can't get to supermarkets easily or who don't want to deal with driving, crowds and queues. They don't mind paying more for speciality food if it is delivered to their home. What I find difficult to understand is how anyone could keep the food they've received, e.g. chocolates or cheese until Christmas. I know I couldn't. I'd eat it within a week, and if I found it delicious, I'd reorder. Maybe that's exactly what QVC is planning on!

Apart from Lidl and Aldi all supermarkets deliver, you can even get deliveries from M&S now.
We have deliveries occasionally as we paid £30 for a delivery pass in January and, usually early November, we get a message to book the Christmas delivery. Our £30 pass allows deliveries Tuesdays to Thursdays.

Supermarket home deliveries are a life saver for me as I’m disabled. Just wish Aldi and Lidl did them too. Even before I became more or less housebound, I had home deliveries (must be 15 years plus) as a) I only buy what I want b) don’t have to battle with crowds instore and c) delivery pass is £7 a month. I don’t drive and return taxi to store would be £25 or 3 buses each way.

I saw some cheese onQVC this morning which was reduced to £16 with delivery in November. Was tempted but wasn’t too keen on the flavours. Will buy the specialist cheese from Tescos that is usually 3 for £6 and I can choose what types/flavours I want.

Ours was £30 for 12 months so a real bargain.

I know I'm lucky that I have a car and I'm able to drive. We're miles from the nearest supermarket so it would be very difficult to get to the shops otherwise, however, sainsburys, tesco and asda all deliver so I wouldn't starve.

Andi Peter's food fest 25th August:Tandoori chicken with lemon rice, chutney and masala tea for 2 £31.92 plus £5.95 p&p. Bargain 😂😂😂
Do they send you the chicken or just the rice, chutney, tea, and favouring? If they do, the chicken could be dodgy. In any case, nobody in their right mind would pay this much. (No offence to anyone who bought it!!)

You can get meal deals and 3 for 2 at M& S . I don't eat Indian so can't comment but their Pizza meal deal for £12 is excellent value and the pasta 3 for 2 are good value and a good size ,well I think so, and a good vegetarian selection.

You get the chicken thighs and wings, she made a big thing about it being skinned to save you all the hard work 😂

That certainly would be worth watching, but Dale seems to keep his calm without any hint of irritation.
Like a true professional Dale overcomes the childish bullish behaviour of that dreadful man. I’d like to hear more from Dale but half way through a sentence he’s usually interrupted by big mouth and the opportunity to finish is lost. Dale brushes off the rude dumpy gobby creature and carries on. Dale I commend you, you have the patience of a saint.
