So, after Jess Foley claimed that her show on the 29th May was the "last show" of Natural Amazonite because "they're selling it back to one of Dave Troth's contacts" and they'll be "embargoed from sale", guess what was on today.......... Yes, Natural Amazonite.

But not only Natural Amazonite - but the exact same items that were being "embargoed from sale" because Troth's contact was supposedly buying them back off them.

So, despite Jess Foley saying "I can't say this unless its true", she did say it - and it wasn't true.

Now she's just flogged a "Greenish Blue & White Diamond 9K Gold Ring" for £199.00p.

She said "if you tried to buy from elsewhere, you'd pay a lot more - not hundreds, not thousands - but millions."

I prefer to call it 'taking the p**s'.

However, she's incorrect in saying that if I had bought it elsewhere, it would have cost me millions. I only have £1.9 million in the bank, so I'd have been a couple of hundred thousand pounds short*.

*Disclaimer. This may be about as accurate as Jess Foley's claims. Absolutely.

Surprise surprise, the response was "Gemporia has explained that there was miscommunication by the presenter, and has provided their assurance that they are setting up new training for presenters to ensure this issue is addressed."

No further action.

The ASA really are a toothless, useless bunch.

New training? We might ask: what training's that, then? A joke, especially as at one time they told the viewers almost every day how intensive the presenters' training was.

That is an absolute joke. They might as well just close the ASA for all the good they actually do to assist the people they were set up to support. Just ridiculous.

Just watched Jess selling an Aquamarine pair of earrings set with two round, drilled beads on lever backs. She kept describing them as being cabochon cut but that wasn’t the case as they were just beads. She doesn’t seem to think about what she says most of the time.

I have her on mute. Are those the gold plate silver cloudy ones? If so, I ask ya. And if not, the following stands, but with the ones I've mentioned. Bringing up 'for comparison' perfect coloured 'rods', aka before cutting worth 1000s. How can they compare run of the mill clouded beads with virtual museum pieces? It's beyond me what they try to get away with some(most) times. And making beads 'sound' posh by calling them globes annoys me too

Her and Cheralene literally present on 'auto-pilot'.

They say the same lines over and over again for every item they sell. They have no variation. They have no uniqueness. They're just robotic presenters that are way out of their depth on TV.

She is, thankfully. Although she made a rare appearance on Gems TV a couple of weeks ago covering for someone.

Another reason I rarely watch Hobbymaker. Every time I do watch it’s usually Hunkydory, Crafters Companion and Boring Bradford. There’s a few companies that decamped from C&C that I now buy from directly. Apart from Zena, Nigel and Hayley, I really don’t like the other presenters.

Jess has announced she is going to be a mother and after a gender reveal, they are doing a pink show. I just switched on to see a hideous hot pink dyed quartz ring. I wonder who will cover her maternity leave, they do seem rather short staffed. I saw Adina is off until mid-August too

Well at least she’ll be off our screens for a few months. Wonder if sprog will be called Absolutely?

No doubt Lindsey Carr will cover. I doubt think her and Dave Troth have homes to go to based on the amount of time they spend in the studio.

They have Milly who I like, and maybe Jeff can also pop in more often. Poppy could pick up more shifts, and possibly Rosie from hobbymaker. Wasn’t someone already on maternity leave? They might come back? Jess has bundles of energy being 6 months, I think she has even done some of those 8 hour shifts (should be illegal as well as those 3 hour blocks for CBD oil and vitamin shows). She is doing very well and I wish her the very best.

Jeff has another job, and Rachel Hatton appears to have left - so I think that rules those two out.

I pray though don't draft in Cheralene Lavery to cover. She's even worse than Jess Foley - and that really takes some doing.
