How Gemporia have hung on so long is a mystery to me. I honestly did not think they'd see this year out.Toby has just said that he will not be on the rest of the week because he has nothing to show. Given that we are on the run up to Christmas, isn't this a worrying sign that not all is well at Gemporia?
I've been thinking 'that' almost since I started watching them. Each BD after 16. But just like a certain orange person, it seems they will be going forever. How Gemporia have hung on so long is a mystery to me. I honestly did not think they'd see this year out.
I've seen nothing that shows that they're improving or rapidly gaining more customers though - so I suspect they're just 'treading water' each year. How Gemporia have hung on so long is a mystery to me. I honestly did not think they'd see this year out.
What baffles me most is that viewers are still tuning in - or are they?I've seen nothing that shows that they're improving or rapidly gaining more customers though - so I suspect they're just 'treading water' each year.
I wonder how much longer that can continue? It'll be interesting to see if they survive next year once the rise to minimum wage kicks in plus the increase in employers NI contributions that the government announced in the budget.
The minimum wage increase is likely to affect the cost of paying the warehouse and call centre staff - and the NI increase will increase the cost of every PAYE employee they have too.
In addition to that, they've taken in new presenters - whilst also having to pay Jess Foley maternity pay.
