Their reply that they don't track QVC orders makes me wonder if they actually make the pies themselves or get a third-party to make and despatch them ? Sorry if I'm being overly cynical.

OP - if they don't arrive, you should ask QVC "who ate all the pies ?"

Ahah. After my "advanced order" Christmas pies did not appear I wondered if in fact they actually made the pies. I recall they said the pies were despatched within 24 hours of making - which I would expect, but also expect immediate delivery. 2 weeks after ordering I said I didn't want them as they hadn't arrived. I wonder if all this advanced order nonsense is just to make you think they are so fantastic pies that EVERYONE is ordering. Then they don't deliver the advanced orders. Hmmm. When I complained I had an instant refund - none of that form signing. I wonder again.

i ordered them before they were advanced orders. i dont think they are organised. rubbish company and smug tooo. qvc must do good business for them too big for thier boots

Considering how many orders they might get from the hundreds of thousands of viewers and considering they only have about 10 or so people to make the pies (probably more, I'm generalising), how can they possibly live up to their claims? I may try again. I may not. Spend less time on air scoffing the pies and more time living up to the business spiel?

very true maybe they dont even make them after all. thier supplier must have let them down. cant believe qvc are hanging on to my money. i know john lewis wouldn't cough cough

Absolutely shocking service if you ask me! The Real Pie Company don't deserve our hard earned cash! I would not touch food from QVC with a barge pole. Support your local butchers or bakers and buy hand made pies from them!

Tbh from first hand experience they cannot meet demand from their own customer's. They need to sort it out. Good luck

I would guess they have not been despatched at all. QVC often take ages to mark direct despatch items as shipped so I should think it works the same that they could mark them as shipped when they have not been, this is QVC after all!!

maybe they say despatched so they can justify taking the money out knowing full well they have not been made much less sent out

Aha, yes indeed! I do remember talking to customer services about something - it may well have been these missing pies - and they said they hadn't been despatched. However, QVC had taken the payment and I thought no payment was taken UNTIL orders were despatched. A bit of backtracking and waffle went on in that conversation. Money was eventually refunded.

Maybe The Pie Company could clarify everything for us. I don't have a problem waiting until the pies are made but don't promise when you can't deliver. I wanted those pies for Christmas and I had to make do with Morrisons, which to be fair were OK but not a treat. I do also buy pies from my excellent home delivering butcher for £3 a time and I never go wrong.

recieved a reply to my e-mail complaint . qvc are basically saying that i have to wait until 19th feb before i can technically say that the pies have not been recieved, oddly they have not mentioned the fact that they took the money on the 11th which was the despatch day. cunning or what:bandit:

If I paid their prices for a few pies I'd expect them to be delivered in a silver basket by a footman, accompanied by a royal fanfare and a 21 gun salute! I would expect them delivered promptly, without let or hindrance.

So for 8 days (at least!) they will be earning interest on your money. Multiply that by all the other people who ordered the pies, and all the other orders that people don't receive and have to wait days until they can declare it to get their money back, and that interest becomes a tidy little earner for Q.

What's the latest in the pies my order is still 'in process'. I'm not really in a rush but am keen to try to make sure I'm at home when they are delivered. I don't want them left with a neighbour.

Whenever a yoof asks 'can I call you by your first name' and I say 'no' it always seems to take them aback a little. As if it were me who was being somehow unreasonable. Have times really changed that much when we weren't looking: that we should now just assume everyone's perfectly happy to be called by their first names by complete strangers, or 'love', hun' etc?!

I'm also not sure when all that kissing started - it's so affected and ridiculous. When you're having coffee in some Tuscan café and two people greet each other with a couple of kisses, it seems perfectly normal. When two women greet each other similarly during some 'corporate training day' at a miserable industrial estate on a wet Thursday in Dunstable it's not quite the same. What's wrong with a brief handshake? Actually, what's wrong with just 'Hello'?

I agree, Craft! Generally it's easier to have call centre people call me by my first name though as they can never pronounce my last name! If I don't like them though I tell them not to call me by my first name!

My pies have arrived about half an hour ago! Literally took the 14 workings days to get these out to me.

Is there anyway of me knowing when these were made/dispatched from the packaging?

Give a bit to the neighbour's cat and if it is still alive in a few days assume it is ok to eat them.
