Firstly, there is no longer a link I can find to recent on-air items, I have to type the whole thing into the search box (just "recent" doesn't work).

When I finally found it, all the shows were beauty stuff, so I didn't bother.

But later, they were all household stuff, including Dyson and GTECH.

Now, they are all garden stuff.

And when I looked at the Apple backup device, they said in the video it only works for Apple devices, but in the description it says it also works for PCs!

I've posted a question about this.

One of the things that annoys me about the website is that with cosmetics it doesn’t seem to list ingredients. With products that have been around a while I can check on other websites but since qvc often has new items before anywhere else I cannot check. I do have allergies so this means I can’t buy many of the tsvs which tend to have new items or those made specially for qvc. I know there is a 30 day mbg but with severe allergies you can’t take the risk.

yep this usually helps

hover over shop QVC TV & the top one is recent on air items

Thanks Ian, but you shouldn't have to be a mind reader and GUESS that you have to hover over something.

It used to say "recent on air items" why do they have to change it into a game of chance?

Your hint also helped me find the guide, I haven't seen that for months and couldn't be bothered to search for it, why don't they just restore a visible link.

One day, I may even find a link to the TSV, they used to plaster that everywhere, but now I don't know how to find it, and to be honest, I don't even care if they hide it away,

The children who design the website probably think they are being clever.

QVCUS is the same no ingredients. I have seen on the QVC Facebook page the mods tell people to go check the brand's own website:taphead: Yet the HSN channel in the US do give ingredients.

Sometimes you can’t check the brands own website as they don’t have the ingredients either especially if a new product eg the Elemis Rose Cleansing balm. If qvc launches a new product or one made exclusively for them they should take responsibility and list the ingredients!

I assume there is no legislation requiring ingredients listing on websites selling products, but really there should be for skincare, as it is designed to be absorbed by the body's largest organ FGS!!! Cosmetics are the applied to sit on that aggravated organ, so maybe it's about time legislation was put in place that mandates anyone retailing the stuff to show ingredients and highlight known allergens.

QVC pointing us to a brand's website is disingenuous when I imagine part and parcel of any exclusivity deal would include not publicising the unique product until the exclusivity period had expired. Unfortunately it's what we've come to expect from QVC these days. Hippygirl, I agree with you that effectively a responsible skincare user with allergies is effectively unable to participate in TSV sets where no product ingredients are available, or spend cash on a gamble that the ingredients are not going to provoke allergic response.

Until the beauty industry as a whole is forced into line (they have had decades to do so voluntarily) don't expect QVC to be any different. Beauty products don't even have to have their inci displayed on the outer packaging, so a shopping trip on the high street can be just as bad, btw.

Hi Alan, just catching up on this thread; if it's any help the item pictures don't load for the search result thubnails using Chrome but do if I'm using Edge.

The UK site is like a hollow version of the US one: it's as though they copied and paste lots of screens form the original site but didn't properly build it. The way the only remedy they offer for all problems is "clear your cookies" shows they don't understand or take ownership of the site's awfulness.

I too have allergies Hippygirl - and have just discovered in the last few months that I am allergic to some new things too, so the lack of ingredients on the website annoys the hell out of me. I buy very little from them due to that.

I remember there were lots of complaints some time ago on here about the revamped website, and many people couldn't find links to recent items, TV guide, etc.

Then people started to post on the forum on how to find them, but I didn't make any notes at the time, so now I've had the same problems myself.

"Recent on-air items" is probably the most important link for anyone (like myself) who no longer watch live TV, and just want to see what has been on in case there has been anything interesting on (gadgets in my case). So I can't understand why this important link has been hidden, and needs guesswork and "hovering" to find it, if you ever can without help, like I had from SCW.

Stratobuddy, I spent AGES searching for this on the mobile Q site on my iPhone - click on the menu button in top left (3 horizontal bars), a drop down will appear reeling off the usual, Deals, Trending Now etc - what you need to click on is Shop QVC TV and another drop down will appear, in which is Items Recently On Air.

Hope this helps!

I've just been reading about bank website revamps leaving their blind customers unable to use their sites. So QVC are not alone in making a hash of updates to their website.

As website design evolves designers need to ensure they don't make it harder for customers to navigate on all platforms. QVC still need to up their game.

I have noticed in the last few days I can’t access the Menu or Search buttons on the Q website. Also no pics of items. Its more out of curiosity for me rather a need to buy.I am using my Apple iPad.

That might be the TSB. A two day upgrade went ahead on 20th April and the site is still borked. I'm one of the luckier ones because I bank with them and can now get onto their site. Direct debits have gone out when expected and I managed to transfer £5 from my other bank to test if payments are going through. It worked so I'm now waiting with bated breath to see if a large payment from someone else arrives safely.

Many poor customers have had their accounts emptied, can't pay bills, their debit cards won't work and the so-called helpline keeps you hanging on for an hour plus and then you get cut off. That happened to me when I tried ringing them three days after the upgrade.

I know we have to move with the times, but that upgrade and those that QVC do only seem to cause problems. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" comes to mind.

When it comes to Banks messing up the technology my questions re.the Q website are insignificant!!I had a spoof call supposedly from my bank wanting certain details which I would not give, when I reported what had happened in my Branch I became Hero of the moment, so many people fall for these scams.

Yesterday I went to a talk on cyber security by a specialist police officer.

But she had not heard of the scam that happened to me a few years ago, which not only emptied my bank account, but took everything from my overdraft limit as well.

I did get it all refunded after about a week of investigation.
