When I had two cats, neither of them ever brought in any “livestock.” Most cats will pounce on spiders. Mine never did 🙄 so I had to deal with those myself.

However, I think one of them, a male called Tigger, was a kleptomaniac. Friends soon learned to close their bags when they came round because he’d stick his head inside an open bag and then race off with anything that he could get hold off. Cue my retrieving tissues, combs, pens etc. He also had a fascination with rubber bands and would bring in the ones that had been dropped in the street by the postman. It was a shame that he never decided to retrieve dropped bank notes. 🙄

The female cat, who was called Mowgli, had no such “hobby” thankfully.

I’ve popped a couple of photos of them below but apologies for the quality because, sadly, I lost both of them a few years ago. Tigger died of anaphylactic shock during an operation when he was about six years old. Mowgli lived until she was 18, but sadly had to be put to sleep as she developed severe kidney failure. We were lucky to have her for so long though because she was diagnosed with diabetes when she was 8.

I’d love another cat, or two, but it wouldn’t be fair on them because of my lifestyle now.

My boy Floki is obsessed with rubber bands! He sniffs the air like a Bisto Kid and can home in on them like an exocet!

They both pounce on spiders, flies and bees. They eat the first two.

Yes he’s likes his “kitty tent” for shade - it’s from Zooplus..

Oh that’s classic cat behaviour!
Either ignore or misuse the thing you bought them.

I don’t even bother buying beds anymore since they won’t use them and prefer me or a human bed instead!
So I decided to give up on the igloo and clean it and give it to a cat charity. As soon as I moved it to wipe down the surface...Freya jumps inside and curls up! 😼🤷‍♀️ ...after more than a year of ignoring it or sitting on top. Typical.

They’re now saying the charcoal one is grey and the grey one is more taupe. It’d help if they were showing them in daylight instead of the dim atmospheric lighting. For goodness sake it’s not difficult giving the correct colours. They blather on about the season’s Pantone shades for fashion, why don’t they get the Pantone swatches out and see what the colours actually are.

Mind you if it was a Kelly Hoppen product it’d be beige, cool beige, dark beige, cement beige and taupe.🤣
Well it took ages to arrive, by which time I was away for a week but I've opened it and...its definitely grey!!

After all that deliberating and cogitating. Trouble is, I can't actually be arsed to go through the hassle of sending it back. Which plays right into their hands, I know.

Might as well have called it poached smoke really.

Ah well, I suppose I could put it in the cupboard just in case I need a last minute gift for the 'erm...postman?window cleaner?dpd driver? 😉

My Burmese cats were the biggest thieves. Socks, plastic flowers, kids toys to name a few. One of them was always bringing in slow worms.
I love Burmese, owned since 1987. Always had two, but now only one, Freya or Miss Kitty Girl as I call her. People, think I am joking when I say you will never go to the bathroom alone when you live with a Burmese. Delilah had a thing for dropping stuff in the water dish. The worse was mouse toys, just spotted something floating in the water. Not pleasant.

Ollie Puss not a Burmese once brought a live pigeon home. When I was a child, we had a black cat called Blackie. He came over the wall with a pork fillet, which must have been someone's Sunday dinner. Dinah Doo, the outside cat as I called her, I opened the door in the morning and met with the remains of a field mouse the back end with the tail and a bird well the cawl bit.

I love Burmese cats too. Great company, very vocal and intelligent too. My chocolate one died at 15 due to kidney problems and my Lilac died of a stroke at 18. Unfortunately can’t have cats now due to now being disabled.

My first Burmese was a lilac, I got him free as he was returned to the breeder aged one. Sherpa lived until 12 and cancer got him, but the most lovely boy. Cleopatra was a chocolate and too clever for her own good. Went Sherpa passed I got Zanzi a brown and Cleo used to bully him and made it look like he was bullying her until I caught her doing it one day. When she died, kidney disease I got Delilah, she lived until 17 and 18 both from cancer. I did not want another kitten but could not get an adult, so after 17 years had a kitten.

I think once you’ve had a Burmese you’re spoilt for anything else. When I told my boss I was getting two brothers he laughed as he owned two. Thought he was exaggerating with the stories he told me. No he was right. They loved being up high watching what was going on from top of kitchen cabinets and wardrobes and for some reason on top of the doors.

Yes, Burmese are the best. Well, I love all cats, a friend had a cream point long hair, and he was brilliant used to come up to the bathroom with me when I was at her house. He acted more like a dog and used to bully her Kerry Blue dogs. The friend now has 3 Main Coon's. I use could not handle all the combing they need.
