Many moons ago I used to go and get my nails done in Supernail's salon in Crawford Street London - she was a friend of the owner Carolyn Sears and was always in there getting her nails done - very snooty and unfriendly she was as well, it was all very luvvie darling. Barbara Windsor however was sat next to me once and was very friendly and chatty even though she's a bit of a luvvie.

A friend in the office had dealings with her over the phone many years ago. When she didn't get her way she tried the, 'do you know who you are talking to?' stunt. It didn't succeed.

I can understand her wanting to keep up appearances and maintain her lifestyle, especially when she still looks good, but we all have to live within our means. Unfortunately the reality is that when a woman reaches a certain age the opportunities to make big money in light entertainment are going to be few and far between. I can't remember the last time I saw her on the telly.:thinking2:
