Above should read 'woman' not 'man'!
I've been to paradise but I've never been to me.I used to work with a Gordon. He was actually...
My contribution is I've never been to me by Charlene, featuring the line "I've been undressed by kings and seen some things that a man ain't supposed to see"
Yes, an utter crud record by anyone's standards. Another one I vaguely remember was by two tailors' dummies (sorry, Peter and Gordon) - A World Without Love. What a dirge.I hate "Where do you go to my lovely" (or something like that) by Peter Sarsdedt (sp).
If it ever comes on the radio, I have to rush to switch it off, and the video is just as bad.
But some people like it, just as well we're not all the same.
Ah, but was this before they got together? If so, I hereby pronounce Brian Not Guilty, Your Honour. .......and here's some more shocking chooons for your consideration (all tv related) Every Loser wins - Nick Berry, More than in Love - Kate Robbins & The worst of them all, Anyone can fall in love - Anita Dobson, FGS Brian May, you are a respected musician from one of the greatest bands the world's ever seen and you didn't stop your wife from making an utter fool of herself, a gentle hand on her shoulder and a "no darling, no" would've done!
It was. Didn't they decide to put words to the theme tune of the programme? Or was that Nick Berry who did that? I know he did the Heartbeat theme. Either or.Wasn't this 'wonderful' (crap) song by Anita recorded in the early years of EastEnders?
I'd like to be generous to Nick and Anita as maybe they were persuaded to do it by Eastenders bosses to help promote the show. Still rubbish songs though!Ah, but was this before they got together? If so, I hereby pronounce Brian Not Guilty, Your Honour. .

Yes, just remembered that, it was Anita Dobson and called Everyone Can Fall in Love (I think). It was. Didn't they decide to put words to the theme tune of the programme? Or was that Nick Berry who did that? I know he did the Heartbeat theme. Either or.
Could be. And, if I recall the words correctly, 'anyone can fall in love'? Who'd want to fall in love with a load of ruffians and thugs? Even if the show is bordering its 40th birthday.I'd like to be generous to Nick and Anita as maybe they were persuaded to do it by Eastenders bosses to help promote the show. Still rubbish songs though!
And I once stood behind Nick Berry in the M&S Simply Food in Islington about 20 years ago, I used to work in the area. Also used to see Su Pollard and Linda Robson, they both lived around there.
Shall I look for the YouTube video to assist in your remembrance?Yes, just remembered that, it was Anita Dobson and called Everyone Can Fall in Love (I think).
Sadly I'm going to have that in my head now for a very long time...
Good call Muttley - that song is an abomintation! I don't know how I missed it!.... and the way she goes all "throaty" when she sings the line "I moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo and showed 'em what I've got"!I used to work with a Gordon. He was actually...

I liked him, but when as Hutch, he began singing in S&H, it seemed odd. And here's random. Have you ever heard Allen Ludden sing? He made an album.David Soul (though I admit Silver Lady is a guilty pleasure)
You're right, Anita's song used the theme tune of the programme. It was. Didn't they decide to put words to the theme tune of the programme? Or was that Nick Berry who did that? I know he did the Heartbeat theme. Either or.
Seen Bernie Flint a few times on cruises. He's a very funny man and reminds everyone he is the longest Opportunity Knocks winner.Good call Muttley - that song is an abomintation! I don't know how I missed it!.... and the way she goes all "throaty" when she sings the line "I moved like Harlow in Monte Carlo and showed 'em what I've got"!
A lot of the dross in the charts back in the day came by courtesty of Actors/soap stars. Telly Savalas didn't even bother to sing...he talked, then you've got Denis Waterman, David Soul (though I admit Silver Lady is a guilty pleasure) but the rest is awful, Jason Donovan - Just no! and tbh I don't rate Kylie's singing voice at all but at least she's had some catchy/danceable numbers written for her and she's got the look and the vibe.
Almost as bad as Charlene's caterwauling atrocity...does anyone remember Berni Flint? If I remember rightly he won Opportunity Knocks and I thought he was really good looking, but his song " I don't want to put no hold on you" was pitchy and pathetic, but guess what? I bought it (I was only 13 at the time so please forgive me!)
I don't know who he is!I liked him, but when as Hutch, he began singing in S&H, it seemed odd. And here's random. Have you ever heard Allen Ludden sing? He made an album.
Very potted history. University Challenge, over here, was based on a show he did in the US. If it wasn't for him, 'we' wouldn't have that show. He also did a show called Password, where he met and fell for, Betty White. (Her of the Golden Girls fame, etc). They married. Youtube has his songs: all 'standards', as opposed to 'by' him, but not bad, in my opinion.I don't know who he is!
That's random "bloody fantastic" - "Don't look now Ethel!"Not sure this counts as "random rubbishy", but I was reminded of it earlier and though some might like to hear/see it again. I'd never seen the video until today.
